Apartment in Duquesa, Costa del Sol, Spain - 10 Minutes Walk To The Beach, Marina, Shops And Restaurants

Inside the apartment, the living room is furnished with sofa and chairs, satellite TV, DVD, including WiFi and Internet access. It has a balcony with table and chairs for four people and has excellent sea views. The dining area has a modern large table and chairs for 6 people and cupboard storage. The apartment is fully centrally air conditioned including warm air heating. The entrance has a wide staircase and is also served by a lift. Several swimming pools and paddle pools, and Tennis courts are available within the complex.

“Luxurious apartment in a perfect location to chill or explore” 18 March 2013

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful apartment. It was very well equipped and really comfortable. It has swimming pools and a tennis court on site (the apartment was equipped with tennis racquets and balls). The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the small details to ensure that tenants have their needs catered for. The apartment was spick and span and the bathrooms were immaculate.

We love holidays where we can relax and chill out, but also explore the area and the apartment was perfectly located to do both.

While we were there we were perfectly located to explore the surrounding area. If you want to catch some Costa del sol sunshine and explore the South Coast of Spain, I can't recommend this apartment highly enough.

A clean and modern apartment with excellent Wi-Fi, Air Con and a superb inventory to give you everything you need to cook and relax. There are 5 pools on the complex which are clean, well maintained and rarely busy. Yes the walk up the hill from the port is steep but a taxi only costs €7-8, the walk down takes 20-25 minutes and is pleasant with a few bars in the square halfway down for refreshment! Dequesa itself has everything you need and none of the sights or the area are too far away....Rhonda a must as are some of the mountain villages for a real taste of Spain. I hope to return soon and will look no further for somewhere to stay

Beautiful apartment with everything you need!

The apartment is very clean, modern and has everything you could need for a relaxing holiday from plenty of cutlery and crockery to TV, WiFi and air conditioning. The surrounding area was very quiet and on a couple of days we were the only people in one of the four pools! The gardens and pool areas are beautiful, very clean and very well maintained and the apartment garage is useful for keeping your car safe and cool! The apartment is a 30 minute walk from the port or a 10 minute drive so we walked down and then got a taxi back as it is quite steep, the taxi cost seven euro but it was well worth it so that we could have a glass of wine with our meal! There are plenty of good restaurants and bars in the port area, our favourite was the Victor Grill Argentinian Steak house, and it is a nice stroll along to the next village Sabinillas, with a few restaurants and bars along the seafront. The beaches here are also really nice with lifeguards, wash facilities, children play equipment, sunbeds and free parking. Having a hire car meant we could explore the area including Rhonda, Marbella and Casares which are all worth a visit. We enjoyed our stay in Duquesa and would recommend this apartment to our friends and relatives.

Great views, clean and comfortable

The views from the balcony were great, if you want total privacy the balcony cannot be overlooked and gets the sun for most of the day, personally we like to sit and look at the view, but balcony wall a bit too high for us. The apartment was clean throughout with everything needed in the kitchen, wifi extremely fast 75MB much faster than our home in the UK. Car parking underground what we thought was our parking space was someone elses so a bit confusing, however security told us the bay we had to use, which was a bit tight for our Scenic. Security at gate was first class, never had any problems during our stay, whole site was quiet. The port, beach and shopping is approx 10 - 15 minute drive, plenty of restaurants in the port with Lidl store 5 mins drive from port and Carrefour supermarket in Estepona. Gibralta and Marbella only 40 min drive. We have stopped in Duquesa/Manilva many times over last 5 years and it is a great place to relax with everything close at hand. DAVE & JILL

Owner's Response: We are sorry you found the parking space a bit tight for a larger car but we would like to point out that there are plenty of spare spaces out side the apartment and even in the underground car park there are plenty of spare spaces if you drive a bit further on towards the end of the parking area. We like the very secluded terraces and if we want to sit and enjoy the views we have supplied highchairs for this purpose. Perhaps you did not notice these.

Duquesa port marina is a 10 minute walk away with it's beautiful beaches, marina and excellent restaurants. Sabanillas is the nearest town which is a 10 minute drive with it;s promenade and beach restaurants.

You are spoilt for choice when it comes to golf courses - you are surrounded by them and the apartment is situated directly adjacent to the Duquesa Golf Course.


Malaga Airport - Approx 45 minutes

Gibraltar Airport - Approx 30 minutes

A car is desirable but not essential. Excellent bus services all along the coast from Marbella to Gibraltar.


Sabanillas is the nearest small town - 10 mins drive.

Estapona is the nearest large town - 20 minutes drive

Casares is the nearest white village - 40 mins drive

Rhonda - 1 hour's drive

Marbella - 30 mins drive

Gibraltar - 30 mins drive

Further Details:

Plenty of big supermarkets within driving distance. Small local shops in the port area which is 10 minute walk plenty of others a few minutes drive. Local travel company arranges day trips to Gibraltar, Morocco, Rhonda, Mijas, Alhambra palace and most local markets. The beach at Punta Paloma (punta paloma Dunes) come up as one of the world's top ten beaches and is a great day trip. The world famous Valderrama golf course is only a 20 minute drive away.
