Hayloft Cottage (three bedrooms, sleeping 6) and Bullring Cottage (two bedrooms, sleeping 4 plus a double sofa-bed in the sitting room) have everything you will need for a luxury break away from it all – fantastic settings, beautifully designed interiors, fully equipped kitchens for easy self catering and a host of extra touches that make Seamer Hill Cottages that little bit different from the rest. Great for families: full Satellite TV (including Sports and Movies), DVD player, games room in our outside Stable, or collecting fresh eggs on a morning from our chickens, feeding titbits to the pigs to visiting our lambs in spring, (13 born this year!) children will love the freedom of rural life. Great for grown-ups: offering plenty of life’s little luxuries such as flat screen TV with full Satellite Sports and Movies package, free wi-fi connection, dish washers, CD / DVD players, Nescafe Dolce Gusto Coffee Machines, beautiful roll top baths and oak floors with underfloor heating, you can rest assured that your break will be comfortable and relaxing. The Georgian market town of Stokesley is only 1.5 miles away with wonderful shops, pubs, restaurants and relaxing coffee shops.
Jane and Grahame have lived at Seamer Hill Farm since 2003. Grown-up sons James and Simon not only live with us but also work in the family food business. We also have "Max" the Springer and "Scamp" the Jack Russell, 15 chickens, 4 sheep and two hairy pigs! Guests visiting us in April can usually see lambs being born in our stables.
My objective next year (it's always next year) is to wind down a little and make more time for fishing and mountain-biking.
The property was in drastic need of renovation when we moved here, in fact the barns were literally falling down. We renovated the farmhouse then converted the adjoining barns into Hayloft and Bullring Cottages.
We have made a stable available for guests to use as a Games Room, with darts and a pool table and a south-facing enclosed lawned paddock with tables, chairs and a BBQ.
We love the "country living", open countryside to walk the dogs, beautiful views, yet only 1.5 miles out of the quaint market town of Stokesley.
Yarm and other larger towns of Teesside are only 15 minutes drive away and Seamer is a great base for visiting the East and North Yorkshire Coast, North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales, York, Harrogate, Durham etc.

Just returned from a fabulous week in Yorkshire with my husband and 2 dogs. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. The cottage is just how it looks and is described on the website, the décor is lovely, the attention to detail is wonderful e.g. colour co-ordinated pictures in the rooms, hand soaps in all the bathrooms and kitchen, all washing up/dishwasher tablets supplied, plenty of good quality crockery and cutlery provided and nice big wine glasses too! One of our primary concerns was the dog facilities - all nicely covered, a fenced in area, local walking from the front door and even a dog towel (which we needed on more than one occasion). The owner Grahame was on hand when we arrived to show us everything we needed to know which was great. All in all I couldn't find one complaint, having read another review about the Hayloft cottage and the 'main' road I would just say that we knew exactly where we were going by looking on google maps and it is hardly a main road, we certainly weren't at all bothered by any traffic noise. We'll definitely be going back next year!
