About Letitia Borsey
We live and work in Hampshire with our 15 year daughter. I spent many years promoting the UK to overseas tour operators but later retrained and now enjoy working as a Radiographer. We have enjoyed holidaying in North Devon for many years in tents, B&B's and holiday lets. Holiday apartments were our favourite as they were the most comfortable and gave us the flexibility to eat in or out. 10 Cove View offers the opportunity to experience coastal life in a town with its own unique charm. There are plenty of coastal pursuits available with boat trips from the harbour or paddle board and kayaking at Watermouth Cove. There are many great places to eat just around the corner from upmarket restaurants serving oysters to traditional fish & chips. The harbour has a good range of shops and art galleries to browse within a few minutes walk of the apartment.

Why Letitia Borsey chose Ilfracombe
We took the plunge to buy 10 Cove View in May 2013. This apartment, in our view, had it all. A high end contemporary feel, a great view and central location with shops, restaurants and the harbour a short stroll. It also has its own parking which we've recently added to by buying a second space for friends or families arriving in two cars. This area has the most beautiful beaches, coastal walking, stunning views and friendly people. This year will be our 7th season and we are delighted with the positive feedback from our guests who love the apartment and area as much as we do. It has been popular with families and couples getting married at Tunnels Beach, a great venue for those planning to tie the knot in a picturesque location. Our highlights are body boarding at Woolacombe (even down sand dunes!), stand up paddle boarding at Watermouth, walking the coastal path to Lee Bay with a stop at the Grampus Pub and being able to eat out at so many great places around the corner in Ilfracombe. Our housekeeper is local and does an excellent job of meeting all our guests on arrival and being on hand in the event of any problems.
What makes this Apartment unique
The best points about this apartment are the location, sea views, the light, lovely decor and having its own 2 parking spaces. Staying here means you rarely have to get in your car. The location is so central you can enjoy the promenade cafes, the harbour with its galleries, shops & eateries, scenic coastal walks, local beaches or the Landmark theatre within a few minutes walk. The apartment offers a great space for entertaining with its sea views, high ceilings and contemporary decor. It is dual aspect so we get morning sunshine through the kitchen doors for breakfast and afternoon sun through the lounge in the afternoon. We can now offer guests the option two reserved car parking spaces in the car park opposite the apartment, essential in such a busy little town. Ilfracombe in early May sees Maypole dancers whilst throughout the year there are bouncy castles and minigolf on the promenade. You are spoilt for choice with restaurants - pub lunch, tapas, fine dining - all tastes are catered and just around the corner on Fore Street. The South West coastal path runs through the town. A short 10 drive takes you to the stunning surf beaches of Woolacombe & Croyde or rock pooling in Lee Bay. Activities like Paddleboarding and Jet skiing available nearby at Watermouth Cove.

Fantastic holiday in Ilfracombe
This is a fabulous property in a perfect location with wonderful views. Placed within a couple of minutes walk to restaurants, the arcade, the beach and a short stroll to the harbour, I would highly recommend this apartment and happily stay here again.
Thank you also for the loan of the boogie boards, the kids had great fun using them at woolacombe beach!
Great apartment with high standard of stylish fittings in a good location,
You could not want anymore from a holiday property,it was wonderful
Lovely Apartment, Great Location
We had a week in Ilfracombe at Cove View and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment is in a fantastic location and there is lots to do, within walking distance and further afield. The apartment was immaculate and very comfortable and Letitia was very helpful when required. Overall a great stay.
Excellent holiday location.
This is a terrific holiday flat. Great location near both the High Street and the harbour. The flat is very well furnished with spacious rooms. A well equipped, large kitchen. Convenient parking too. The flat more than met our expectations. We had a wonderful week here and certainly would like to return. Thank you for sharing your lovely accommodation with us.
A very smart, spotless, modern but comfortable apartment perfectly situated, with guaranteed parking
Unless you have a total aversion to slopes or have a large family, and that you do want to stay in a non-commercialised coastal town, with both rugged coastline and an attractive harbour, in north Devon, it is hard to imagine that you would not be happy to stay in this very well apportioned apartment.
We three 60 year olds stayed for a week. We explored the town, headlands, bays, local area, pubs and plentiful eateries quite thoroughly; it is hard to imagine, assuming a certain level of mobility , particularly with parking worries erradicated, a better place to stay.
The house has two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms with showers, a large comfortable lounge with many mod cons and a large, fully equipped kitchen / diner. It is spotlessly clean, nothing is missing and everything works!
We really enjoyed local beaches, an excellent sculpture park, stately homes and gardens and Barnstaple! But mostly we enjoyed exploring Ilfracoombe.
Nothing is perfect; as old folk we struggled initially with the tv - mp4? set-up (despite instructions!) but in the end were able to watch anything and everything ... A seven year old would have smashed it in seconds! A couple more toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets would have been appreciated - though we were grateful for the drinks, sweeties etc, etc welcome package. And it's only fair to mention the squeaky floorboards upstairs; they might irritate light sleepers.
We really enjoyed our stay, loved being in the house, and will almost certainly return.
And finally, a real bonus for many people; 80 metres downhill from the house is a nearly new Weatherspoons. It is popular with families, welcoming children, the staff are very efficient but also friendly and accommodating, the tables are cleared quickly and everything is kept clean and fresh.
House, local area and 'Spoons all highly recommended.
Coast and small shale beach is approx 250 metres. Ilfracombe has a small sandy beach in the harbour at low tide about 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Other nearby beaches include Larkstone beach, Tunnels beach, Rapparee and Hele Bay. Woolacombe beach, one of the largest sandy beaches in England, is 10-15 mins drive with Croyde and Saunton Sands a bit further.
Nearest airports are at Exeter and Bristol.
There are two main supermarkets in Ilfracombe, Tesco and Lidl. The Landmark theatre is visible from the apartment and is under 5 minutes walk.
