A stylish well equipped apartment (sleeping 5) a high standard of accommodation. The apartment currently has one private car parking space however soon (late June/july 17) we will be able to offer the option of two reserved parking spaces.

The living room and kitchen have excellent views of the sea, Capstone and the Landmark Theatre from the lounge and Hillsborough from the rear Juliet balcony. Inside, there is a 42" Sony TV, a PS4 console, Sky TV, Movies and box sets. We provide free wi-fi, board games and DVD's.

Downstairs on the lower ground floor there are two good sized bedrooms, the master has an en suite shower room and walk in wardrobe whilst the second bedroom has zip and link beds with access to a patio garden at the rear.

There is a large modern bathroom with a deep bath and separate shower, perfect after a long day on your feet.

A welcome pack with wine, tea/coffee, biscuits and milk are also provided to start your holiday.

About Letitia Borsey

We live and work in Hampshire with our 13 year daughter. I have a tour operator and hotel background but later retrained and now work in healthcare. We have enjoyed holidaying in North Devon for many years in tents, B&B's and holiday lets. Holiday apartments were our favourite as they were the most comfortable and gave us the flexibility to eat in or out. We are delighted to be able to offer this ourselves in a coastal town with its own unique charm. There are plenty of coastal pursuits on the doorstep as well as many great places to eat just around the corner from upmarket restaurants serving oysters to traditional fish & chips. The harbour has a good range of shops and art galleries to browse within a few minutes walk of the apartment.

Why Letitia Borsey chose North Devon

We took the plunge to buy 10 Cove View in May 2013. This apartment, in our view, had it all. A high end contemporary feel, a great view, central location with everything walking distance such as shops, restaurants and the harbour. It also crucially had its own parking space which we knew anyone like us driving miles to get here would not want the worry of finding a parking space. This area has the most beautiful beaches, coastal walking, stunning views and friendly people. This year will be our 3rd season and we are delighted with the positive feedback from our guests who love the apartment and area as much as we do. It has been popular with families and couples getting married at Tunnels Beach, a great venue for those planning to tie the knot in a picturesque location. Our highlights are body boarding in the sea or sand dunes at Woolacombe, coastal walking to Lee Bay with a stop at the Grampus Pub and being able to step out in the evening to find so many great places to eat to Ilfracombe. Our housekeeper is local and does an excellent job of meeting all our guests on arrival and being on hand in the event of any problems.

What makes this apartment unique

The best points about this apartment are the location, sea views, the light and parking. Staying here means you rarely have to get in your car. The location is so central you can enjoy the promenade cafes, the harbour with its galleries, shops & eateries, scenic coastal walks, local beaches or the Landmark theatre within a few minutes walk. The apartment offers a great space for entertaining with its sea views, high ceilings and contemporary decor. It is dual aspect so we get morning sunshine through the kitchen doors for breakfast and afternoon sun through the lounge in the afternoon. We currently offer one parking space however soon we will be one of the few apartments to have two car parking spaces. Ilfracombe in early May sees Maypole dancers whilst throughout the year there are bouncy castles and minigolf on the promenade. You are spoilt for choice with restaurants - pub lunch, tapas, fine dining - all tastes are catered and just around the corner on Fore Street. Being a new conversion, everything is decorated to a high standard and has a thermostatically controlled heating system which you can adjust to your needs. A short drive takes you to the stunning surf beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde or Saunton Sands or rock pooling in Lee Bay.

Notes on accommodation: No smoking flat. Prices include towels, bed linen, vat, free wi-fi, meet and greet service, private allocated car parking space and a welcome pack with a few essentials. Supplement for a 5th person on foldaway bed or sofa bed is £25.00 per week. Outside: The walled patio garden is pebbled and has an outdoor seating area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: White bath towels and bedlinen are included (not beach towels) and changed weekly. The property is cleaned weekly. Other: A foldaway guest bed is available for a 5th person/child which fits in either bedroom or alternatively the lounge has a single sofa bed. This carries a supplement of £25 per week.

Great apartment which was a real 'home from home.'

We found the apartment to be very nicely decorated in great style. It was very well equipped with modern technology, the twoTVs were top class. The heating and lighting were modern and efficient. The showers were roomy and worked really well. It was very well furnished and we all slept really well in the extra comfy beds!

The apartment was within easy walking distance of most of the best restaurants and cafes in Ilfracombe when we fancied eating out. We ate in the apartment a couple of times and the kitchen had all mod cons and a spacious dining area.

We found Ilfracombe to be a good base for touring Exmoor and visiting Woolacombe and many other nearby beauty spots.

To have our own personal parking space right opposite the apartment was a real bonus.

To have so many good eateries just around the corner to choose from is such a positive for this apartment. The other is parking, which is really essential in such a central location so much so we are in the process of acquiring a 2nd space for those arriving in two cars. (This should be completed in the coming weeks). We've responded to previous guests comments by adding more side tables in the lounge, a full length mirror, new kitchen equipment e.g. casserole dishes, knife block and soon, a new upholstered storage bench in the bedroom. We hope you will return again in the near future.

A great time had by all the family

Perfect location and apartment.

From booking this place to leaving, it has all been a very pleasurable experience.

Letitia the owner and Angela who manages the property were both very helpful giving advice on the local area, as for the property it was first class.

Everything that you needed was there, from a fully fitted out kitchen to body boards for use on the beach. The location was spot on right bang in the middle of everything, restaurants were minutes walk away, harbour 5 minutes and Woolacombe 20 minutes drive away.

Would we stay here again?.........absolutely!

Simply amazing

My grandmother and I stayed at this wonderful apartment for 3 nights and we had the most wonderful stay. The private parking was easy to find and we were met by Angela as arranged. We were given 2 sets of keys (always useful if 2 couples!) and let ourselves in. We were blown away by the apartment as soon as we entered; It is stunning! Modern, bright, beautifully clean and tastefully furnished and accessorised. In the lounge there is a fantastic large TV and PS4 for those chilly evenings in, and fantastic views out of both sides of the apartment. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side being early march, so we were not able to enjoy the courtyard garden or either balconies, but i enjoyed the views through rain splashed glass nonetheless!

The kitchen diner is large and very well equipped, and the small touches we found on arrival such as tea, biscuits and wine made us feel right at home. The bedrooms are warm and welcoming and the beds amazingly comfortable. Both bathrooms are big, well designed and sparklingly clean.

Location-wise, this apartment is smack bang in the middle of everything; mere minutes from the harbour, most restaurants (something for all budgets) and the High street. There is easy access down the hill to Wilder Road to be able to drive and explore further afield, or buses can be caught just accross from the bottom of the hill.

The place oozes luxury and convenience, and I have never stayed anywhere so nice until now. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay :) I will definitely be back later this year!

New home from home

We come to Ilfracombe regularly to visit family and have been looking for a new base.

Details and reviews of 10 Cove View looked encouraging and reality did not disappoint.

We loved the modern,light style of decorations and furnishings especially in the spacious living and kitchen areas.

We were greeted by the mangment team who were ensuring a sparkling clean welcome and who were helpful and efficient with a couple of queries during our stay.

Our favourite eating places, Giovanni and Lucca's and the restaurants in Fore Street, are nearby and it is a convenient walk to family homes.

Easy private parking is much appreciated.

It was ideal to be able to talk with Letitia about our needs and access arrangements.

We look forward to many happy returns.

Very well maintained with everything we needed

We had a really enjoyable few days in Ilfracombe despite the variable weather. We liked the position of the property which was close to the promenade, town and harbour. The owner was very conscientious and the contact in Ilfracombe was very helpful. All in all excellent holiday.

Coast and small shale beach is approx 250 metres. Ilfracombe has a small sandy beach in the harbour at low tide about 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Other nearby beaches include Larkstone beach, Tunnels beach, Rapparee and Hele Bay. Woolacombe beach, one of the largest sandy beaches in England, is 10-15 mins drive with Croyde and Saunton Sands a bit further.


Nearest airports are at Exeter and Bristol.

Further Details:

There are two main supermarkets in Ilfracombe, Tesco and Lidl. The Landmark theatre is visible from the apartment and is under 5 minutes walk.

Changeover Day:
Friday or Saturday changeover however we try to be flexible outside school holidays. Arrival from 3pm and departure by 10am. Full meet and greet details are sent by email once the balance of your stay is paid. We don't take a security deposit but respectfully ask our guests to take due care and look after the property during their stay.

Notes on prices:
Prices are inclusive of meet and greet service, private parking, VAT, linen, wifi and a welcome pack based on a max. of 4 persons. A deposit of 25% is required within 3-5 days of booking and the dates are held provisionally until funds are received at which point we will confirm receipt by email. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival or in the event bookings are made within 6 weeks of arrival, then full payment is required at the time of booking. The 5th person supplement is £25 per week. Property is fitted with modern fire and carbon monoxide alarm for our guests reassurance.

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
