Lovely, comfortable lodge

  • 5 of 5

We had a glorious week of sunshine in this well equipped, comfortable lodge. Yes it was the Lake District!

There are lovely views and walks all around and just a short walk into the centre of Kenwick. The lodge was spotlessly clean and the owner very pleasant and helpful. We broke a light and when I reported it to the owner she was most understanding. She also provided bedding for our granddaughter for occasional "sleep overs"

Highly recommended.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, and so glad you enjoyed Fellside Lodge as much as ourselves. We appreciate that accidents happen, as long as we are informed about them at the time we can make a repair or replacement with minimal effect on guests as possible.

Lovely, comfortable lodge, wonderfully equipped and perfectly situated for exploring the N. Lakes.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay and found the lodge just right for the two of us with everything provided that we could possibly need for our week in Keswick. The booking arrangements were all very straightforward and reasonably good value for money we felt, and the lodge was ideally situated for exploring all of the beautiful lakes and hills in the north of the region - my favourites were Grasmere and Buttermere. Keswick is walkable and is a very charming little town with a brilliant market on Thursdays and Saturdays - we will definitely be coming back to this area again!

A relaxing place for a break

  • 4 of 5

Fell side had everything you needed to make for a relaxing break. Clean and comfortable lodge, well equipped if you wanted to stay in but in a great location for getting out and about around Keswick. We arrived after receiving clear instructions and were able to park up for the next three days as it was easy to access many walks on the surrounding fells returning back to the lovely warm lodge for a hot shower then a gentle stroll to one or two of the many pubs in Keswick for some food and a well deserved drink. Just don't forget your torch when walking back in the dark!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, we really enjoy staying at the lodge ourselves, it is so peaceful yet as you say within easy access to so much that the area has to offer. It is pleasing to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated Fellside Lodge as a base.

Well equipped pleasant place

  • 4 of 5

We found the Lodge very convenient for Keswick and local fells. It was well equipped. We particularly liked the washer/drier. My husband and I stayed for a week from 21st August. My only (minor) criticism is that the lodges are so close together.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, the lodges have been placed in such a way that they make the most of the views with adjacent private parking. Fellside Lodge has great views from the windows and veranda and the locality makes it a tranquil change from the busy streets of Keswick yet it is still very convenient to get to the town centre.

A cosy lodge for two

  • 4 of 5

Loved this well placed, well equipped lodge in Burnside Park, a smallish site nestling beneath beautiful dramatic hills at Keswick. Comfortably furnished with all mod cons and a delight to return to after a days exploring. Romantic and warm, perfect at any time of the year.
