A fairy tale cottage situated for exploring Wales in its entirety.
This is a guest house below a 19th Century mansion. We enjoyed everything about this property. We cooked our meals in the kitchen, which was well equipped for all kinds of meal preparation. We also barbequed steaks on the grill provided by management, which was a real plus for us. The laundry room was useful, as was the clothesline apparatus for drying laundry. We used this property as a base of operation for visiting all of Wales. Excellent shopping is available six or so miles away in Newtown. Our one problem was a lack of Wifi hookup, which was never available despite our complaint to the management at the nearby mansion. This must be corrected.
Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. It truly is a beautiful area to explore.
The fault with the WIFI has now been resolved.
We hope to see you again :-)
This was a lovely lodge to call "home" for our adventures around Wales. Everyone we interacted with was kind and accommodating. The property was clean, charming, and just the right size.
Short holiday in Llandinam
The property was clean and well equipped, well situated and the beds were comfortable.
The pub down the road had very nice food and being in walking distance it was a great excuse to avoid cooking !
Having had such lovely weather we really enjoyed our stay.
Good location, quaint, cozy, clean, and comfortable. Just lovely!
My husband and I rented this Welsh cottage for a one week stay. We were absolutely thrilled with it's charm upon our arrival! The description of it being an "idyllic country cottage with stunning views" is spot on. The cottage overlooks a Welsh hillside and fields of grazing sheep. Just beautiful!! The location is peaceful and quiet, and ideal for anyone wanting to travel throughout Wales. The interior was very clean and cozy. Before heading out each morning we enjoyed breakfast prepared in the cottage's lovely kitchen, and had our tea out on the patio table while watching the sheep and pheasants in the fields. We were able to reach all of the sites on our "must see" list and return to our "home base" before dark. We actually looked forward each day to getting back to our "home away from home", and into our comfortable bed after a long day of sightseeing. During our stay we traveled over 1,000 miles! We drove up to Anglesey and Conwy in the North-Northwest region, through the midsection, and down to St. David's and Cardiff in the South and Southwest. What a glorious country to see!!! Whether traveling through the mountains, along the coastlines, or the midsection, Wales is absolutely breathtaking. Not to forget the beauty and kindness of it's people. Everyone we met was just lovely. It was such a treat to experience life in our very "own" Welsh cottage even if only for a week. We were sad to see our stay come to an end. Highly recommend!!
