About Jonathan Cousins

Hi, thanks for looking at our apartment. We bought this apartment for the stunning views from our balcony onto the ski slope and down the St. Jean D'Aulps valley.

We love the mountains both in winter and summer and were so pleased when this light and airy apartment became available. It is a short walk to the St Jean ski lift and the huge area of Morzine Avoriaz is easily accessible. We have created an apartment that is home from home with all the amenities we have in the UK

Why Jonathan Cousins chose Portes du Soleil

La Grande Terche is a lovely typical Savoyard village with a seasonal community of its own. There are bars, restaurants, ski shops and a small supermarket. St Jean is 5 minutes down the valley which offers more shops, a pharmacy, doctors' surgery, restaurants, tourist office and a Carrefour supermarket. Morzine is only 10 minutes drive away, giving access to all the other resorts in The Portes du Soleil.

The resort has its own ski school with several nursery slopes. There are 40km of additional ski slopes entering three valleys accessed by 14 lifts. The main ski lift is 50 metres from the apartment and can be seen from our balcony. The resort has a lovely family feel.

In the summer the lift opens several times during the week for hiking and other activities.

What makes this apartment unique

Le Relais is the largest building in the village and our apartment commands the best views of the ski slopes and the valley. The corridors are roomy and heated and are well maintained. The apartment has been furnished to a very high standard with all amenities. We also have a garage so there is plenty of room to store skis and equipment and there is an allocated parking place, so that parking is available even in very busy times.
