Location Location Location. Our home is ideal for families and couples alike given its fabulous location on the west side of Florida. Tampa and Sarasota are both very easily accessible, as is Orlando (just over an hours drive). Just as important, who really wants a 2 or 3 hour drive back to the airport on the last day? Not with this home as TPA is just 40 minutes away! Great shopping exists at both the Westfield Mall at Brandon and at the Prime Outlets Mall at Ellenton to the south where you can visit designer shops such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger & American Eagle to name just a few. Our villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms; that's some 2,500 sq foot of luxury. It is idyllically located in a quiet, upscale residential community between Tampa Bay and Sun City Center. As well as the HD TV there is a DVD film library and a pool table should you be stuck at home. High speed internet access is available via the WiFi router if you have a laptop, tablet or smart phone. During the winter months, our new heat pump will effectively warm up the swimming pool to a very nice 84F.
My wife and I first visited Florida a few years before getting married. Like most people, we loved it there, and certainly vowed to go back at some stage. I work locally and try and relax as much as I can, including frequent trips to our home in Florida. In my spare time I enjoy walking our dogs, playing badminton and the occasional game of golf.
My wife and I love Florida, and when we were able to, didn't hesitate to buy a property there. We wanted somewhere slightly away from the crowds of Orlando, yet to still be able to enjoy the theme parks as well as the beaches and sunsets of the west coast all in one - we opted for our villa close to Tampa, yet just one hour away from downtown Disney. Its location, we truly believe, is perfect. The west central Florida location means it is an easy drive either north or south to find new places to visit and enjoy.
One of the main reasons we ended up mid way between Tampa and Sarasota was purely because we felt a simple drive to either was important for exploring the area, plus the real advantage of being close to Tampa International airport. With direct flights to Europe and many U.S cities, it is perfect!
Both cities offer slightly different cultures, yet both are full of the big Floridian welcome. There are some fantastic restaurants in the area - you will find some details of them at the house should you stay there!
And if you do play golf, well it's right on your doorstep.
just returned from a fabulous holiday in this villa. The villa is equipped to the highest standard with everything you need. The pool is one of the largest I have seen (7ft at deep end) which was great for cooling off after a day at beach. The villa is in an idea location within easy reach of many beaches , shopping outlets/malls and was only 30 mins from Busch gardens which makes it an ideal location for a family holiday. The pool table was also a welcome addition to relax and play in the evening. The owner Stuart was friendly, helpful and informative giving us lots of tips and information to make the stay more enjoyable! I would definitely recommend the villa for larger families as the 3 bathrooms and room layout was ideal for privacy, and little bit of rest bite! I look forward to staying again in the future.
Our second stay at Stuart's villa (previously June 2015) and it really does do the job very well! Great location to get just about anywhere in Florida.... either heading north to Tampa and Orlando or south to the beaches of the Gulf coast or on to Sarasota or Naples. We even drove up to St Augustine (about 200 miles) and spent a couple of nights up there to see that area, which I can also recommend if you have the time/schedule.
Overall this home is very comfortable with good quality furniture and you feel very safe in the surroundings of the neighbourhood and development. The neighbours are all very friendly and always helped us out if we had any questions.
Before we had even left home, villa owner Stuart had made sure we had all the house and location information we needed so we found our way from the airport via a supermarket easily. The house was even better than we imagined with everything we needed to have a fantastic fortnight in this idyllic location. The house's proximity to the I75 meant easy drives to some fabulous beaches. Of course we explored the St Pete's beach area with the lovely drive over the Skyway bridge but spent our days at Fort de Soto, where the birds and the dolphins viewed from the pier were spectacular. Anna Maria Island with the Sand Bar restaurant on the beach was another favourite as was Coquina Beach with a good lunch spot nearby in Cortez at the Star Fish Company Seafood Market and Bar. The sand and sea in this area could not be bettered with great shelling as well as fantastic wildlife. The Manatee Viewing Centre at the end of Big Bend Road didn't disappoint, well we saw a manatee and the walkways were really pleasant.
We found good shopping at the Ellenton Premium Outlet Mall and the Westfield Mall at Brandon both a 20 minute drive away.
An easy drive of 1 hour 15 mins found us at Universal in Orlando where we had several days of theme park thrills with a couple of Orlando Magic basketball games in the evenings.
The Florida aquarium at Tampa was a good day and we booked on line in the morning prior to going which was much cheaper, I would recommend the combo ticket with the Dolphin harbour cruise which we really enjoyed, didn't see a dolphin but it was a nice trip through Tampa Bay.
Stuart's home guide gave excellent directions to local shops, activities and restaurants which really helped us plan our days and evenings.
The house was a real pull to go home to where we BBQed and enjoyed the pool. We even had Premiership football to watch on our only wet morning.
We can't wait to return, this house and area has been a great find.
If we could give this beautiful home a six star rating...we would. It had everything for a fantastic family get away. Large living areas, pool table, dining room bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderfully decorated although we spent most our evenings in the kitchen/living room playing cards and watching TV. Stuart even had DVD movies for us to devour.
The swimming pool was the icing on the cake, perfect to jump into after a long day at the beach. We searched long and hard and found this fantastic gem. Needless to say, we hope to return again next year.
Six of us spent the first week of a fortnight's trip to Florida in this large, modern and extremely comfortable villa. Located about half an hour south of Tampa and east of some of the Gulf Coast's best beaches - including our favourite, St Pete Beach - it was the ideal spot to combine relaxing family time with action filled days at nearby Busch Gardens or Sarasota to the south. As other reviewers have commented, the photographs simply don't do this beautiful villa justice. It is spacious, modern, well furnished and well equipped - a real home from home. It was immaculately clean, which is always key for me, and set in a peaceful cul de sac on an immaculately manicured estate. We rarely saw, and certainly never heard, a peep from the neighbours. Despite the quiet setting, it is actually only a minute or two from a dual carriageway that links to all the major towns and cities, so everything felt very accessible. A number of supermarkets were within a five minute drive. Stuart, the owner, was extremely helpful and attentive and we really appreciated the personal service, which extended to an email the day after we had arrived to check everything was ok. We didn't get anything like this in the second villa we stayed at, which was run by a management company and lacked all the personal touches that we enjoyed both in dealing with Stuart and staying at his villa. If we are ever in Tampa Bay again, we will most certainly stay in this villa and would recommend to all.
This house is fantastic! There was plenty of room for all 7 of us. The pool was great and the kids spent a lot of time in it. Everything was neat, tidy and clean. Stuart was just amazing with all the details he provided us about the house and the surrounding areas. The location was good and was only about half an hour drive to downtown Tampa (depending on traffic). There were restaurants and shops nearby anyway so you didn't have to go too far to find the things you need. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Tampa Bay area. This house is a real gem!
The Gulf coast beaches are well renowned. They are about a 35 minute drive away. Tampa Bay is some 10 minutes drive away and has a small beach. Here you can see pelicans diving for fish and the locals out on their boats. EG Simmonds public park is also close by. Fort de Soto Park & Beach is also highly recommended and worth a visit.
The nearest main airports are Tampa (TPA, 40 mins) and Orlando (MCO, 90 mins). Smaller airports are located at St. Pete and Sarasota-Bradenton. Car hire is essential to fully appreciate the Gulf Coast region.
Downtown Tampa is 25 minutes drive away, Sarasota 40 minutes and the Orlando theme parks just over an hour. TPA is a 40 minute drive from the villa. The best shopping areas are both approx a 15 minutes drive away, one in Brandon and the other to the south at Ellenton, both just off of Interstate 75. Busch Gardens is approx 35 minutes away.
The nearest bars and restaurants are a 1 minute drive away (or 10 mins walk). Banks, Pharmacies, Supermarkets and a 24 hr Walmart Superstore are all within a 5-7 minute drive of the villa. If you prefer to shop at a Target Superstore, this is some 15 minutes away.

Booking by email to the owner direct. 25% deposit to confirm booking. The balance is due 7 weeks before along with 300 pounds security/damage deposit refundable after your stay. I am more than happy to accept US Dollars - please enquire.
Normally a Saturday or Sunday but please enquire as other days may be possible.
Notes on prices:
Prices are in Sterling and are fully inclusive except for the clean/service of the property and pool heating (normally required from November through to end March). Additional cleaning can also be arranged for during your stay. Discounts for longer lets available. US Dollars also accepted. Please note we are not able to cater for children under 3.
A 25% deposit is due at the time of booking, followed by the balance plus security deposit 7 weeks before departure. Payment can be made in Sterling or Dollars. A clean/service fee is additional to the rental cost.
