Lantern Cottage is a charming Grade II listed thatched cottage with beamed ceilings, ingle-nook fireplace with an electric stove heater, situated in St. Agnes. This beautifully presented chocolate box lies in a green valley that leads down to the pretty sandy beach of Trevaunance Cove. The beach and spectacular coastline of the north Cornwall coast are approximately 400 yards away and the picturesque village of St. Agnes with her excellent range of shops, pubs and restaurants is less than 1 mile.

The twin bedroom has matching cherry wood bedsteads and furniture. The single bedroom has a raised fitted bed, and wooden furniture to match.

The cottage is situated in the village of St Agnes and actually on the road down to Trevaunance Cove, which is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and on the Atlantic Heritage Coast. With surfing and excellent coastal walks plus it offers all you could want for those who wish to be within walking distance of the thriving, friendly village of St Agnes which includes a butchers, a baker, pasty shop, fish and chips, restaurants, pubs and a wine bar, a renowned surf shop where you can hire wetsuits, book surfing lessons or even buy your own board, and a popular beach for swimming and surfing. The nearest beach is Trevaunance Cove, a sandy beach (with part time lifeguard) which is only 400 yards from the house. Three further sandy beaches can be found within a 5 mile radius. The picturesque village of St Agnes is just under a mile away, where you can find all the local amenities which include pubs, restaurants, supermarket, butcher, bakery etc... Outside: The property benefits from larger than expected front and back gardens, neither of which are overlooked. The back garden consists of a terraced lawn and extensive planting. The lower part of the back garden is secure. Well behaved Dogs are accepted at an additional cost of £30 per pet, per week or short break booking. Towards the top of the back garden, there are some delightful Marine and coastal views of Trevaunance Cove. A patio area is provided for outside dining. To the front of the property, there is room to park two cars. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The beds will all be made up and we supply a white bath sheet and a bath towel per person. Please take your own beach towels. The property boasts a wealth of character including low beams. Adjacent to the lounge is a spacious dining room, with feature fireplace and electric stove.

The coastal path is in close proximity to the cottage, where you can follow spectacular cliff walks to the east and west. Locally, walks, pubs and beaches can be enjoyed – Cliffside strolls are a must at nearby Chapel Porth and Trevaunance Cove.

St Agnes is 4 miles off the A30, and centrally located for many tourist attractions including:Truro and The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Tate Gallery in St. Ives, St.Michael's Mount, Wheal Coats tin mine, Rick Stein's restaurants in Padstow, the National Seal Sanctuary, Tintagel Castle, Lands End, and Goonhilly Earth Station and further afield, St Ives, Falmouth.

Pet Fee $41.55

Booking Notes:
A deposit of a third of the full amount will be needed when the booking is made with the final balance due 6 weeks prior to the commencement date.

Generally short breaks are accepted from October – end of March but we will accept a short break booking in the high season, if we have availability close to the time.

Changeover Day:
Whilst we accept short breaks from October through to the end of March each year during the mid to high season the change over day is a Saturday.

Notes on prices:
Short break prices are calculated on a percentage basis, taking into account maximum occupancy e.g. 2 nights - 75%, 3 nights – 80% and 4 nights – 85% of the full weekly price and 5 – 7 nights will cost the full weekly price
Please note that the full price includes electricity, central heating, bed linen, towels and VAT.

The deposit needed at the point of booking is a third of the full amount and the final balance is due 6 weeks prior to the commencement date.
