About Christine Yeates

This is a much loved holiday home that has been in the family for fifteen years and is used by us regularly through the year. The parents, the kids, and the grannies all love it.

Christine Yeates purchased this cottage in 1996

Why Christine Yeates chose Cornwall

Our cottage is cosy and peaceful no matter what time of year. We love curling up in front of the fire after bracing clifftop walks in winter and enjoying a BBQ with views across the fields to the sea after a long days on the beach in summer. The sunsets are breathtaking.

What makes this cottage unique

We love the beaches, trips to St Ives, and walks on the beautiful West Cornwall cliffs. Such a lovely place to be in all seasons.

Lovely comfortable peaceful cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage. It is a very peaceful location in a village which is surrounded by farmland. It is within easy reach of the local beaches in Gwithian & Godrevy. And St Ives too. We were lucky enough to spot some dolphins & seals while we were here which was amazing!

The cottage itself is perfectly clean and includes everything you need. The beds were very comfortable and the downstairs space had a very cosy feel. The garden is perfect for BBQ's with lovely views over the farmland towards the sea.

There is a pub literally across the road which serves excellent food and also offer a take away service. We also found The Italian Kitchen in Hayle to be a good choice. Overall we were very happy staying here and wouldn't hesitate recommending for the perfect holiday getaway in Cornwall.

Really comfortable lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay, it is so easy to relax in the cottage, with beautiful views from the window seat and so tranquil!

The cottage is wonderfully comfortable and relaxing. Lovely furnishings, great beds and everything you need in the kitchen.

Loved the garden, which has beautiful views over the fields to the sea.

There are lots of walks from the house, useful for our dog ! And it is so well positioned for the beach at Gwithian, and the galleries at St Ives.

Couldn't be better. Thank you!

Lovely cottage in tranquil surroundings

  • 4 of 5

The cottage is very comfortable and cosy with lovely views of the countryside and sea from the back garden.

Attractions, restaurants are within easy reach and the Royal Standard pub opposite is very welcoming with a very good menu.

We would definitely recommend this cottage to all my friends and relatives and we hope it won't be too long before we are able to return.
