Apartment in Salcombe, South Devon - Positioned Above South Sands Beach, Salcombe with amazing sea views and a very short walk to the beach.

The Bolt Head is positioned on the coast very close to the town of Salcombe. On the doorstep is the beautiful Blue Flag beach known as South Sands, where there is safe bathing and a regular and frequent ferry service to the town centre during the summer. If you are interested in the possibility of launching a boat, moorings are managed by the Salcombe Harbour Authority on behalf of South Hams District Council. You will need to contact the authority as it is also responsible for collecting harbour dues from resident and visiting boats. Beyond The Bolt Head, the cliffs and headlands are owned by the National Trust and a walk along the coastal path is thrillingly spectacular. The apartment is accessed by lift from the underground car park or by a small flight of stairs and is on one level. All living areas and two of the three bedrooms have wonderful sea views. Please note there are self closing fire doors throughout the property. Telephone - incoming calls only. We do offer the use of BT Broadband at no extra charge.

The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and the 3rd bedroom a single bed.

Notes on accommodation: Pets are NOT accepted in this property. Telephone - incoming calls only. Please note that we do offer the use of BT Broadband / WiFi. Outside: Outside there are well stocked communal garden. There are also two parking spaces. NO Pets allowed. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The beds in the bedrooms will be made up and we supply a bath sheet and a bath towel per person. Should you need to use the sofa bed in the lounge please tell us when you book so that bed linen is left for your use. Other: The dining area has a glass and oak table with six oak dining chairs with original paintings as a back drop. The sitting area has a large leather corner sofa with chaise lounge, coffee tables and a small double sofa bed. There is a TV, DVD & CD player.

Further into the estuary on the east side are a series of popular sandy beaches: Sunny Cove, the large Mill Bay, Cable Cove, Small's Cove and Fisherman's Cove. Adjacent to Fisherman's Cove is a landing slip used by the ferry from Salcombe directly across the estuary, communicating with the hamlet of East Portlemouth (and much used by tourists for access to the beaches). On the west of the estuary there are South Sands and North Sands beaches. A ferry operates between Salcombe and South Sands

Plymouth - 25 miles.

Totnes - 21 miles.

Exeter is the Nearest Airport


Towns and villages which are not too far away and worth a visit are:

Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Totnes, Dittisham, Blackawton, kingswear, Strete, Torcross and Modbury. Paignton Zoo is popular for children and Stoke Flemimg benefits from spectacular sea views and an award winning beach.

Booking Notes:
A deposit of a third of the full amount will be needed when the booking is made with the final balance due 6 weeks prior to the commencement date.

Generally short breaks are accepted from October – end of March but we will accept a short break booking in the high season, if we have availability close to the time.

Changeover Day:
Whilst short breaks are accepted from October through to the end of March the changeover day during the mid - high season is a SATURDAY.

Notes on prices:
Short break prices are calculated on a percentage basis, taking into account maximum occupancy e.g. 2 nights - 75%, 3 nights – 80% and 4 nights – 85% of the full weekly price and 5 – 7 nights will cost the full weekly price
Please note that the full price includes electricity, central heating, bed linen, towels, free use of our Wi-fi and VAT.

The deposit needed at the point of booking is a third of the full amount and the final balance is due 6 weeks prior to the commencement date.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
