Our well equipped first floor maisonette is a short walk from Porthmeor Beach and the Tate Gallery and stands in pretty gardens with Cornish Palms. It offers a comfortable retreat for 4 people. The balcony and double bedroom have views over St Ives Bay and the kitchen and twin bedroom overlook National Trust fields towards Clodgy Point. Linen and personal towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels. Smoking is not allowed on the premises and we cannot accommodate pets. Garage parking is available maximum 6'2"h x 7'2"w x 16' deep. All summer bookings are Saturday to Saturday. Please note we are not yet taking bookings for 2019.

About Paul Stayne
Paul and Sheila are retired and 'living the dream' in Cornwall. We personally supervise the running of the apartment, 'Island View'. We live in St Ives and are usually on hand to sort out any queries.

We love this quiet residential part of St Ives, which nevertheless is near the beach and amenities. The apartment sleeps four in comfort and has its own garage! All make a recipe for a perfect holiday in Cornwall.
What makes this Apartment unique
There is a local shop for all essentials and the main shops are only a 10 minute walk away. Porthmeor Beach is at the bottom of the hill and we have a garage as well as occasional parking outside the apartment. This, together with great sea views and a balcony make this your ideal holiday accommodation.

The apartment was very beautifully furnished, spacious, clean and welcoming. Ideally located with amazing view.
There are 5 beaches in St Ives each with their own character and with different orientation. Porthmeor Beach with its sun-bleached sands is the main surfing beach and is overlooked by the Tate Gallery. It also has two beach cafes. It is about a 10 minute walk from the apartment. But also check out Porthgwidden and Porthminster Beaches. There is a footpath adjacent to the apartments which connects directly to Man's Head and the coastal path. The harbour and shops are about a 15 minute walk away.
If travelling by train alight at St Erth and take the coastal train to St Ives. It is a memorable experience! You will need a taxi from St Ives station to the apartment. I provide directions and a map for those travelling by car.
St Ives, with its pretty cobbled streets, boasts excellent restaurants, historical buildings, a cinema, theatres and many galleries including, of course, the Hepworth Garden and Tate St Ives. The St Ives School of Painting offers drop-in art classes. Above all we have some of the best beaches in the country with golden sands and wonderful surf. The September Festival, (middle two weeks of Sep) should not be missed for its great music, drama, poetry and special exhibitions.
