About Helen Walker

We live in Leicestershire, UK with our 7 children and assorted pets.

We all love spending time in Marina Vista, we relax the moment we walk through the door.

Helen Walker purchased this house in 2009

Why Helen Walker chose Weymouth

We have been to Weymouth every year since I can remember, staying in various cottages. It has always been a dream of ours to have our own house there. We were lucky enough to be able to do this in 2009, and have loved making the house bright and welcoming with hopefully, everything needed for a fabulous holiday. The house is perfectly located for a walk into town or the beach. As a family we enjoy spending time on the beach and running around Nothe Gardens, which are a short walk away.

There is so much to see and do from Marina Vista, though sometimes we just stay in and soak up the view!

What makes this house unique

We love the fact that everything is on our doorstep, we can walk to the beach, the town, the old harbour, restaurants and the cinema. We also enjoy walking and cycling along the Rodwell Trail to The Isle of Portland.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We just wanted to drop a line to say what a fantastic holiday we had last week and how much we enjoyed the house. The views were really outstanding and the location was perfect. We also very much appreciated the wine and general thought that had gone into the decor.

Thanks again for a wonderful holiday in Marina Vista, the fact that we have chosen to stay there for the last four years says it all! Looking forward to next year already!

A fabulous home from home property

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing stay in this well equipped and perfectly located house. Helen was great to deal with and has obviously thought of everything when it comes to a family stay. Our young children loved the toys and books available and our eldest was very taken with the view of the marina from the loft bedroom.

The house is a short walk away from the harbour and beach and shops and bars of Weymouth. It is also a perfect base to explore the Jurassic coast; we visited the beautiful town of Bridport and beach at West Bay which was only a 30 min drive.

I would highly recommend this property, particularly to those travelling with children. Thank you Helen!

Clean, comfortable and in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Weymouth, the house was in a great location - we loved the freedom of being able to walk to the beach and into the town. The house was really well equipped, especially for children, I didn't take any of our own toys and the children were thrilled to discover the Lego and Sylvanian families as well as the beach toys and DVD collection. The house was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable with some amazing views and made a great base for exploring Weymouth - we had everything we needed and I wouldn't hesitate to return!

Lovely house, lovely weather, amazing place. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay the views are amazing within walking distance of everything, we had a good meal at The Ship on the harbour and fish and chips at the Seagull, the children loved the fairground next to the sandy beach. Our wifi decided to give up but after phoning the owner it was all sorted within a very short space of time. A very nice bottle of pinot awaited us as well as flowers and a welcome pack, loads of tea bags, coffee etc. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
