After having visited West Wales for many years, we decided to move here in 2011. I work as a private paediatric speech therapist, as well as looking after the properties along with my husband. We are always accessible and willing to help our guests at all times. I enjoy playing my piano, boating and walking with our dog on the coast path.
Owner purchased this Cottage in 1995
Why Owner chose Solva
We loved the peaceful setting and wonderful walks direct from the property.

Nice property in romote location
The cottage was homely and nice and the area was remote and peaceful however close to solva and st davids, lots of nice walks in the area. on the whole we were happy with our stay, although there were a few areas for improvement:
1. wifi - signal does not reach any more than a step away from the router, as a result I had to buy more mobile data
2. cleanliness, the property was clean however it could have been to a higher standard, some dusty areas / damp patches and spiders
3. TV- was not possible to get a clear signal
4. several light bulbs were blown
5. sofas were not very comfy
6. would have been good if towels were provided
Very peaceful retreat
Arrived after a long drive. Cottage was lovely and warm and welcoming especially after we lit the open fire. Everything was lovely and clean. Did a nice walk into Solva. Will definitely return.
If you want to be away from the hubub of a town this is great.
Nice large cottage - slightly out of it for us, we have a dog and would haeike I have been able to walk to the pub at night.... But that's not possible.
Solva is a nice village and has at least 4 pubs and a shop (use Google maps to find it)
Good location to visit the rest of the peninsula.
For us was just a little out of the way.
Calme, calme, calme....
Incomparable plage de Newgale malgré vent et pluie ! Lieu reposant et ressourçant !
Whitesands Blue Flag beach is 10 minutes drive away as is Newgale Sands.
Haverfordwest and Fishguard Harbour are the nearest railway stations.
The nearest village is Solva which is within walking distance. St Davids is 3 miles away.
The cottages are situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only coastal National Park in Britain, offering stunning views from majestic cliffs to gently rolling pasture land. The Park has just been judged the second most outstanding coastal destination by National Geographic Magazine.
The 186 mile long Pembrokeshire Coast Path is one of Britain’s National Trails. It is made so interesting by the variety of landscapes and breathtaking scenery you pass through on your way along it. The seasonal bus services are designed for walkers. - travel by bus for a few miles and walk back along the Coast Path at your own pace.
There are also some remarkably pleasant towns and villages to explore, rest, refresh and recuperate in; especially after experiencing those views!
The magnificent Cathedral at St Davids has dominated the landscape since the 12th Century and is worthy of a visit. During May and June it is host to a feast of classical music at the Cathedral Festival.
If you enjoy the water, you can visit Ramsey Island on a guided boat trip or try kayaking or windsurfing. Children can enjoy watching the sheepdog training near St Davids, go dolphin watching, or visit Folly Farm or Oakwood.
For those looking for a more relaxing pace, spend the day at one of the many stunning beaches and then relax over a drink or meal in one of the wonderful pubs or restaurants.
