Self-contained stone cottage, tucked away down a country lane but with easy access to the village (pub, shop) and the bustling towns of Falmouth, Truro, and Helston. North and South coast beaches 20 minutes drive. There are lovely countryside walks from the front door and the owner's huge garden to explore. The open-plan kitchen and sitting room has exposed beams and a coal effect gas fire, and there is a beautiful view from the bedroom window.

Excellent cottage, very comfortable, but it is tucked away down very narrow roads and the walk to the pub is across 3 fields and tricky after dark! The owner is lovely and a cream tea was waiting for us on arrival. Picturesque location and we would certainly return,
Lovely cottage, well equipped and great location
Really enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable, well equipped cottage and ideally situated to travel to all parts of Cornwall, which we did! Great place to relax and chill out after a busy day sightseeing. Lovely pub with great food just a short walk away. Would definitely stay again if we holiday again in Cornwall.
This was the perfect spot for us we really enjoyed the peace of the country location and the convenience of the village close by, the owners were friendly and helpful and the cottage clean and comfortable
Excellent travel directions led us to a warm welcome at a peaceful and secluded little cottage perfect for two.Comfortable furniture and bed with plenty of storage available. Nice countryside views from the bedroom window. Would recommend Godrevy beach,Cape Cornwall,Falmouth boat trips and St Ives using the park and train from Lelant.
Nicely done up cottage in the countryside, quite and peaceful
We have spent a wonderful holiday week in a nice rural cottage. We were cordially received with a great tasting cream tea (Thank you, Lisa!). The quiet location is ideal for relaxing, walking in the meadows but also as base for day trips as it is situated close to Cornwall´s awesome places of interests. The garden surrounding the property is just gorgeous. The equipment was good, we had everything we needed, WLAN included. We enjoyed our stay and can warmly recommend a stay at Lisa´s cottage.
Thank you Stefan for your appreciative review, it was lovely having you both to stay and I am so glad that you really enjoyed your holiday in Cornwall. Best wishes, Lisa

Writing holidays; I am a writer and editor, and am able to offer an editing and critiquing service for anyone who has come to The Cottage in order to escape from the distractions of daily life and concentrate on their writing. I will encourage, suggest changes, provide inspiration and help you get that book/story/article written. I read very quickly, charge £8 an hour and am available to help and encourage you as much or as little as you like!
The Falmouth beaches (Gyllyngvase, Swanpool) on the South Coast are 20 minutes drive away. The more dramatic North Coast beaches, with their wonderful clifftop walks (Perranporth, Portreath, Chapelporth, Trevaunance) are 20 -30 minutres drive away. There are also miles and miles of sand to enjoy at Gwithian and Newquay (30 minutes). You really are spoilt for choice!
Newquay airport 40 minutes drive
Plymouth (ferry from France) 90 minutes drive
Railway (Redruth) 15 minutes drive
Use of car recommended
The village of Stithians is a 10 minute stroll across 3 fields (a 3 minute drive), and has a shop, post office and pub.
The delightful seaside town of Falmouth is 6 miles, and the cathedral city of Truro is 8 miles.
The famous Eden project is an hour's drive, as are Land's End and the Lizard
The village shop is open 7.30 - 9 Mon to Sat, 8.30 - 6 on Sundays. I leave details in the cottage of the many supermarkets nearby - Sainsburys and Tesco in Truro and Falmouth, Asda in Penryn, Tesco in Redruth, etc.
I also recommend my favourite restaurants, some of them very local, others a little further afield. If you like seafood, Falmouth is definitely the place to go!
