Making perfect holidays all year round, this modern apartment is located within a couple of minutes stroll of Woolacombe's award winning beach, and Barricane and Coombesgate beaches. Sleeping up to 5 people in 2 bedrooms (full-sized cot also available), this first floor apartment boasts views across the bay from the lounge, separate kitchen and private balcony. Views towards Potter's Hill can be enjoyed from the master bedroom (with en-suite shower room), from the Juliette Balcony. The apartment is well equipped and additionally benefits from free wifi, 2 TVs, PS2 and Wii, IPod docking, DVD player, 2 toilets (en-suite shower room attached to master bedroom and family bathroom opposite second bedroom door), outside shower and private storage shed.

We are a happy and fun-loving family of 5. We love the outdoors and with three children find a lot of time to explore and discover new things, making Woolacombe the ideal location for our holiday home.

Why Lizzie Wright chose Woolacombe

For more than 30 years our extended family with myself, from being a little girl, have visited Woolacombe every year.

In 2007, whilst expecting our third child, we decided to buy our own property in Woolacombe, which we had always considered our second home anyway. Then surprisingly we received the keys to our newly renovated and refurbished Woolacombe dream pad, hours from our daughter's arrival.

We love Woolacombe and everything it has to offer us now and in the future. We still get so excited about each visit regardless of how many there are each year.

It gives us a base to set so may memorable holidays, with something new to discover each time.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment benefits from direct views across the bay from its private balcony, the lounge and kitchen. And in just a couple minutes, you can walk onto the sand or get into the sea.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment has marked parking for 1 car and some visitor parking spaces which are shared with the other apartments so are not guaranteed to be free. This is a non-smoking apartment and pets are not permitted. Outside: The sun-trapped balcony provides a relaxing outside area to the apartment. It has a bench and café-style table with chairs for relaxing and observing the stunning bay views. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: Bed linen, towels and tea-towels are provided and can be changed in the middle of a two week stay. Other: A large private balcony sits on the side of the building, overlooking the breath-taking views of the bay. The apartment has a private lockable outside storage shed and a large shared ground floor cupboard which is ideal for pushchairs.

Fantastic apartment with stunning views and only a stones throw away from the beach.

We've just returned from a fantastic family weekend away in Woolacombe; many thanks to the owners who were very accommodating and made our holiday that extra bit special. The apartment is in a brilliant location and has parking outside. The apartment is clean, well kitted out with everything you need including towels, tea towels and bedding. It has spectacular views and we loved sitting outside on the balcony in the morning and evening. The location is ideal for exploring the coves, rock climbing, body boarding, sand castles, lazy beach times, shell hunting, local food and best of all for absorbing the beauty of the coastline and sea air. We would highly recommend this apartment to all and hope to return again ourselves in the near future to build even more amazing family memories!

Great location

The apartment is just across from the beach, in a great location. It was well equipped in the kitchen, and the master bedroom was very comfy. We had a good weekend here.

Amazing view, well equipped flat, owner very considerate

Staying somewhere like this in Woolacombe is never going to be cheap, but this apartment is wonderful. So close to the beach - you can see it - so close to town, a few minutes walk. It has a balcony with chairs, lovely sitting room, big bedroom and well equipped kitchen. The owner was very easy to contact and considerate. Many thanks.

Great location, very comfortable and convenient

We had a windy week in woolacombe at the start of September with our two year old. The apartment was great for her - very safe and all on one floor, with a nice bathroom and full size cot which just about fits in between the permanent beds in the second bedroom so we didn't have to share! The master bedroom is a lovely size with balcony and great shower in the ensuite. Unfortunately we didn't get much opportunity to sit out on the balcony due to the weather but the views of the waves and surfers are great.

There's lots to do around the area - we went to the aquarium in Illfracombe, cycling on the Tarka Trail and over to Lynton - all short trips away. The rest of the time we enjoyed being so close to the beaches - a wind break, bucket and spade and a kite we're all we needed! We ate out for most meals - with the Sri Lankan curry at Barricane beach my favourite, although meals at the Boardwalk and Beachcomber cafe also great.

Would definitely recommend this apartment for small families like ours. Very easy and comfortable!

Car: recommended


Woolacombe is dominated by its main beach, blanketed in golden sand and stretches from the village all the way to Putsborough. Sand dunes lead away from the beach towards the hills. The quieter Barricane beach is covered in shells washed in by the Gulf Steam and has many rock pools for explorers. Coombesgate beach is more secluded but is just as dramatic. All beaches are within a 7 minute walk of the apartment and all have excellent surfing conditions (usually).

There is a regular bus service to nearby towns and villages

25% deposit is needed to confirm a booking. Balance is payable 8 weeks prior to the start date of the holiday with a £150 refundable damage deposit.

Changeover Day:
Friday changeover day. This can be flexible outside of busy school holiday periods. Arrival time after 3pm; Departure by 10am.

Notes on prices:
Prices are per week, based on check-in date, in UK pounds. Short breaks can be booked within 4 weeks of holidays between September and April. Changeover can also be flexible within these months. Usual changeover day is Friday.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
