I found this villa on Homeaway and it looked ideal for our family of 6. We were however pleasantly surprised on arrival. The villa was even more exquisite than expected. Ian and Karen could not do enough to help - and when my daughter was sick - they took time out to help us with a pharmacy and to sort it out.
Back to the villa - the pool and the house were kept immaculately clean. There are so many seating areas outdoors that we were spoils for choice. The gardens are a delight.
It is only 15 mins from fabulous beaches, and a local shop just 2 mins away.
We really felt spoilt throughout our stay - nothing was lacking.
We've booked in for next year - as this was so fab.
Thank you Ian & Karen for a delightful stay. We will be back!
We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this property. From booking to arrival Isn was incredibly helpful. The villa was immaculate with everything you could possibly want. We forgot to being our pushchair and Ian brought us one to use throughout our stay.
I cannot recommend this villa or its location enough. We have recommended it to our friends and family so expect some booking soon!
The reason this is entitled "very relaxed holiday" is because the villa was exactly as described on the website and as described by previous reviewers. Also nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything. Although we havent any young children this villa would be ideal as there is plenty of garden space for playing (and safe). Found the kitchen ceramic top rather complicated and we had some unusual meals! which were still very nice. There is an Italian retaurant just up the road and just minutes away which was very reasonable considering the standard of food and the attention of staff, which we would thoroughly recommend. At the moment I cannot see us returning in the near future as I am awaiting an operation but maybe in the future.................? I would really recommend this villa.
Thank you, Karen, Ian and Chris from the Westlakes.
We have just arrived back from 2 very relaxing weeks at this villa. Right from the initial enquiries we were impressed by both Karen and Ian. Having read the previous comments it had a lot to live up to but it certainly did just that.
The route supplied was bang on and easy to follow and when we arrived you could tell that they were proud of their villa What also came across was that they wanted us to enjoy staying there. The villa itself was clean , tidy and well equipped and during our stay there we never felt anything was missing . The welcome pack has been mentioned in previous reviews and it was the more than adequate, in fact we were still using some of the food nearly a week later.
There are a number of places to sit and eat , our favourite was the area between the lounge and the main bedroom. It had what Diane called an "ambiance" especially with the candles on. We also liked sitting under the Olive tree by the Jacuzzi. We found plenty to entertain ourselves and thought the mini golf was a good idea . We also used the pool and Jacuzzi a fair bit. It was also nice to use fresh lemons and the fresh chilies that Ian grows, they came in very useful for our home made "Patatas Bravas".
We did venture out and the market on Sunday was within walking distant and was a decent size. The roast chicken and potatoes we got from the market were lovely. We used the local bar, Bar Deportivo and found their prices very reasonable.
All in all a lovely villa with plenty to do and great hosts.
Having stayed at Villa Lorca two years ago (see previous review) we were confident that we would be greeted again with the same perfect villa. We were wrong! Karen and Ian have improved the villa with an added Jacuzzi and have extended the middle bedroom so that it doubles as a kids' sitting room complete with DVD player and satellite channels. This meant that when our youngest daughter had had enough of the fantastic, well-kept pool she could go and relax in her own space and we could still watch TV in the living area if we wished. The extended room provides separate sleeping areas so that two older children would have their own space and privacy. The whole villa is beautifully decorated but the new addition is absolutely charming with a very pretty terrace outside.
Outside of the villa there are several areas for seating but the canopy over the large table and chairs is invaluable in the hot sun. This means that there is always somewhere shady to sit and sip a cold drink. If lying on a lounger is your thing then there are also two large parasols when you fancy a bit of shade or if you need to keep your drink cold!
This villa genuinely is home from home. It is so well-equipped that the next time that I book it, I am considering turning up with just my swimwear, toothbrush and kindle! The welcome pack will see you through your first day and there is everything that you could possibly need to make your holiday comfortable. Toiletries are provided, towels are provided, cleaning materials are provided, washing powder is provided, dishwasher tablets are provided, a first aid kit is provided and I really could go on but I won't bore you further with a list of things that this villa has covered. You really can book it with confidence.
The situation of the villa is fantastic, it is peaceful but not too far from amenities; once again, we did not venture very far but we did visit the Sunday market and bought some delicious cooked chicken and fruit. If you do arrive late on a Saturday, be sure to visit the market and stock up!
Our one complaint is the ten minutes of rain that we had one morning. Shocking I know! Even then, Karen was in contact via text asking if it had washed any dust into the pool to see if it needed a clean. At the time we said not but the next day it did look a bit grubby so we sent a quick text to see if Karen and Ian were about to come over and within an hour it'd had been cleaned. Amazing!
The only villa we have booked twice and will return.
My family and I had the most amazing relaxing holiday in this beautiful villa. Situated in Purias, the views were amazing and the jacuzzi, pool and mini golf course were an added bonus. Karen and Ian were the perfect landlords helping escort my partner and i to the private medical centre with an ear complaint and even delivering baby milk to us at short notice - thank you. My family and I had the best holiday here and my father has even made arrangements to rebook for the family again next year! There is a fabulous restaurant 5km as you leave the villa, turn left and you will be amazed with the service, quality of food and good value for money.
Thank you Karen and Ian you were the perfect hosts, cant wait to visit again soon.
