Our business is a family run business. We believe in providing the personal touch. So much holiday accommodation has become over commercialised whereby you often end up in a accommodation where you never get the chance to meet the owners.
We aim to meet and greet all of our guests and we make ourselves available for any questions at any time. By being available, we are also able to resolve any problems that may arise as soon as possible and offer local advice when needed.
We aim to make our guests stay as comfortable as possible and a high proportion of our visitors return year after year.
If you are looking for a comfortable, peaceful and relaxing stay, with the knowledge that someone is always on hand to help make your holiday as enjoyable as possible, then look no further.
Richard Jones purchased this cabin in 2007
It is simply stunning. On a clear day you can see the hills of Dartmoor. Quiet yet so convenient for exploring North Devon. No light pollution at night. The stars are so bright. Why choose anywhere else?

"Wow! What a fantastic place-a little bit of Heaven on earth. Thumbs up all round."
" Accommodation and Devon at its best."
" Great short stay, very quiet. I can't remember the last time we were somewhere so dark. The kids love the trampolines and the swimming pool kept the kids happy"
"We found the cabin delightful with everything we could possibly need for our comfort. The comfy beds and Devon air ensure a good night's sleep. The gardens and play areas are lovely, so are the lambs and ponies. Rich and Di have done a wonderful job with the cabin and grounds."
"Superbly run accommodation, very tidy and well kept."

For Tarka's Holt, Friday is our preferred changeover day. Both Tarquol and Warren Cottages' usual changeover day is Saturday but please do enquire if an alternative day is needed, as we can be more flexible at certain times of the year.
We were warmly welcomed to our holiday home when we arrived to stay over the Christmas period. The log cabin is set in beautiful countryside. It is in a private part of the large garden area with views of the fields and horses. We had a very happy stay here in the warm and comfortable cabin. There is plenty of room, and it is well equipped. I used the swimming pool which was a real treat for me. There are wonderful walking areas from Stowford Lodge, footpaths along the Tarka Trail. The river walk is a short drive towards Torrington. The nearest town is only a short drive away. I would like to come and stay here again and highly recommend this place.
A really nice family cottage in the countryside with some lovely views. The cottage was comfortable and clean with all the equipment needed for a good stay. There is a wonderful amount of outdoor space for children to play in, which included a small football pitch, trampolines, and climbing frames. Plus ponied, sheep and chickens to visit. The swimming pool was clean and lovely and warm - especially in the morning. There is a lot for families to do in the local area in fine or wet weather: we enjoyed a number of local beaches, particularly enjoying Westward Ho!, went horseriding in Croyde, and on a wildlife boat trip seeing seals. The nearest town of Great Torrington had a small supermarket (there is a large supermarket in Bideford), there was also a really good Fish and Chip shop in Great Torrington.
