Virginia Park is an attractive, modern community of mixed residential and tourist accommodation, surrounded by maturing tropical style gardens in a quiet location in Playa Blanca. From the shoreline of Playa Blance, the land rises up at the western end towards Montana Roja and Virginia Park stands on the lower foothills of that mountain, beside the Hotel Paradise Island and the hotel's new water park. The complex includes a large well stocked mini-market, and a bar. There are plenty of parking spaces if you hire a car.

great property for the price, quiet neighbour hood not at all touristy more for the locals, need a car or its a 30min walk into town centre or 3euro cab ride.
Great Apartment with the most amazing sun trap balcony!
Recently spent a very relaxing week in this very clean and well equiped apartment. It has eveything you need for that perect stay. The balcony is amazing and has the sunshine from sunrise to sunset- perfect place for a glass of wine and a good book or two!. I will definately be back.
Nice spacious 2 bed apartment, half an hour walk from town
Nice clean apartment, spacious, well equiped. Lovely big balcony with sun loungers. Easy car parking. On first floor, so flight of stairs to get into apartment. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms, no air con. Half an hour walk into town (but bus stop handy). Very helpful host.
A WONDERFUL APARTMENT WITH THE MOST AMAZING TERRACE!
Just back from holiday after having spent a week at this wonderful apartment. This really is fantastic value for money.
The apartment is situated on a quiet residential complex but is only a 5-minute stroll away from the Paradise Island Hotel and the small water-park they have there. There is also a small shop nearby and a bar. It has a lounge and kitchen combined, 2 good sized bedrooms and a large bathroom with both a bath and a shower. There is even a washing machine and a large fridge freezer!
The best feature however is the terrace, which is HUGE! As the apartment is at the end of a block, it has a wraparound terrace, which opens up from the patio doors in the lounge. Outside the patio doors is a table and 4 chairs and then there are 4 loungers with cushions provided - there is so much space!! I got through 4 books in a week which is a record for me!! Wish we could have stayed longer...
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. In fact we loved it so much we are looking to book again for next year. Thank you so much Mary for allowing us to share your little holiday home in the sun :)
Stopped for a week next door at paradise island hotel then moved here .
Apartment was clean tidy , and balcony is it's best asset , beds comfy and plenty of fluffy towels ,washer, cooker, kettle ect. TV was small and only watched DVD's but only my boys moaned about that . It's a quite a long walk down to main part of playa Blanca but that's what we wanted.
Idea for 1 or 2 couples wanting quite in the sun although most of the apartments are lived in permanently and have dogs .
We would defiantly go back again !!!!

Pasamos doce días en agosto. La isla nos encantó y el apartamento también. Grande, bien equipado, tranquilo y fácil de aparcar. La única pega es que está lejos de playa y te tienes que mover siempre con coche y que la zona es de trabajadores y no debes hacer mucho ruido por la noche. Quitando estas dos cosas que tampoco nos importaron mucho, el apartamento merece mucho la pena y a muy buen precio.
Playa Blanca has three beaches, of which the best for families is Playa Flamingo, approx 5 minutes drive from the apartment (20 minutes walk). It is located behind the Hotel Playa Flamingo and has a protective rock breakwater. Further away are the fine sandy beaches of Papagayo, situated in a conservation area which is protected from development. You can drive to Papagayo or reach it by Water Taxi from the harbour in Playa Blanca.
It takes about 40 minutes to drive from Arrecife Airport to Playa Blanca. The distance being approximately 30 kms (19 miles). Taxis are readily available at the airport. It is also possible to book transfers in advance from one of the many transfer companies which advertise. Car hire though is reasonably priced and worth considering in order to get around the island.
The island in winter and spring is carpeted with green, including over the sweeping mountainsides. Towards the southern end and only about 20 minutes drive from Playa Blanca, is the Parque Nacional de Timanfaya, where the terrain looks like a lunar landscape and consists almost entirely of solidified lava fields.
Playa Blanca was once upon a time a small fishing village, and still has a port, from which fishing boats set out and which is the terminal for the ferries that ply between the resort and the adjoining island of Fuerteventura on their 40-minute trip.
The 'front' is not a road but consists of a lengthy promenade stretching the length of the shore line from the port, past the back of some hotels, and right out to the southerly tip of the island to the lighthouse of Pechuguera.
A walk from one end of the promenade to the other is a rewarding half-hour amble of about 2-3 km, with lovely views of Fuerteventura most of the way.
The main shopping street is pedestrianised, with lots of boutiques, a few banks and restaurants, a couple of supermarkets, and numerous duty-free electronics shops where you can while away half an hour haggling over the price of the latest gizmo’s.
There are numerous restaurants in the resort, ranging from fast food to quite posh, most of them child-friendly, with amiable service and offering local as well as more international dishes.
Prices are very reasonable, and most of them are to be found on the front, overlooking the sea. Around the resort, you can find crazy golf, tennis courts, playgrounds, and diving facilities - one at Playa Dorada and one just beyond the Hotel Natura Palace.
Beyond the town centre, there is a brand new major development called Rubicon. This is beautifully laid out with a superb marina, and board walks around the seaward side leading to a variety of restaurants and bars. This is well worth exploring.

Booking Notes: Prices do not include cots and/or high chairs for infants (these should be requested at the time of booking and are subject to availability and payment of the appropriate charges). A deposit of £100.00 per week is payable on booking and the balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure. A security deposit of £150.00 is paid with the balance and is refunded on return subject to the apartment being left as found on arrival, in a good and clean condition. Changeover Day: Changeover day is flexible - subject only to availability. Notes on prices: Stays which cover two price periods will be charged pro rata based on the number of nights in each price periods. Prices based on 4 persons sharing. A nominal charge of £10.00 per person per week is made for extra guests. For stays of more than 28 nights, please ask for a quote. Payment can be made by UK cheque (if booking more than 21 days in advance) or by online bank transfer. Arrangements can be made for prices to be quoted in Euros and payment made directly to Spanish bank account.
