Top Spot for North Shore

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property for 8 nights in February. Beautiful home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Any issues we had were promptly dealt with by Daniel (thankyou!). Yes it could do with a top to toe clean with built up dust and grime, so I recommend this asap. Generally it was clean enough but not sparkling as you would expect in a high end property. The other thing that would have swayed me booking this property in the first place (that I think people should know), is that like most homes in this area, it is on the main highway. Even with a smaller slip road separating from the hwy, the traffic noise was 24hrs a day. Hence this spoilt the "peace and serenity" we were looking for. One side is the stunning beach, the other side (bedroom side) was this constant noise. And noisy people walking past all hours of the night. So sleep wasnt the best...hence if you are a light sleeper I would aim for a home away from the highway! It was lovely to cycle on the slip road though, the bikes only just pass as useable but did the job. Thankyou for sharing this special place on the North Shore. ps Dont expect to swim in February, just watch the whales and the many changing moods of the ocean instead - unless you are a pro!

We travelled from the mainland to spend the holidays with our family that lives in Wailua. This house was perfect and warm. Very comfortable, clean and quiet! Such a perfect spot for daily beach time and evening walks...until next time! Mahalo!

We loved the beach house - it was everything we had dreamed of!!!

  • 5 of 5

From the very beginning when we arrived and found a nice welcoming card, drinks and snacks we felt at home. The beach house is awesome and the interior design and decoration matches amazingly what we like and care for.The beautiful surfboard, the paintings, the bed linen in the kids room, the shells - just to mention a few aspects - and the beautiful picture books that introduced us to the different aspects of Hawaii and O'ahu. And once you step out on the porch, sit down in the comfortable lounge, feel the soft air, hear the waves and the rustling of the palm trees, see turquoise water and the blue sky dotted with white clouds beauty in every sense is storming your senses and you just want time to stand still.

Having stayed for the whole summer, we can confirm: Ke Iki is the best beach on O'ahu, as the North Shore is -from our point of view- the best place to be. This is where you can still find the Aloha spirit - there are no hotels and guests blend naturally in with locals. Waimea valley with a farmer's market, Waimea bay with the cliff to jump and the spirit of Eddie Aikau as well as Shark's cove for snorkeling are just around the corner. The supermarket is also really close by as are food trucks and our favorite eating place: "Seven Brothers" which is at the Kahuku Sugar Mill a few miles east on the Highway. There was everything at the beach house we needed: a wonderful porch to relax, beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, bikes and even surf boards and last but not least: beautiful water and great waves of the Pacific Ocean at the footsteps of the house with a wide beach to play at or to go for a long walk.

The kitchen is extremely well equipped, linen and towels are provided and the children loved their rooms as we did enjoy our master bedroom with a really good mattress. We never used the AC as there is always a nice breeze. Daniel, the property manager, looked very well after us and the only problem we encountered (the insinkinator stopped to work) was solved at once. The house was super clean and is well taken care of.

We definitely encountered the Aloha-spirit, learned a lot about the hawaiian history, managed to catch our own waves and our son was a regular at the Banzai skatepark across the street. Our dream came true to spend a special family time on O’ahu and the beach house made a big contribution to this. We are very grateful and can only recommend this place! Thanks again Matt for helping us to have this amazing experience!

Great property and amazing location!

  • 5 of 5

This house was great and the location couldn't have been better! The beach in front of the house was never crowded so we never had to worry about a beach spot. It's also very close to Foodland and some great food trucks, which was really nice.

The house was great and had more than enough room for our family of 5. There isn't AC in one of the bedrooms but the ceiling fan plus an additional fan that we found in a closet kept it at a comfortable temperature. We didn't have any major issues with anything in the house.

I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice house right off the beach! The views of the sunset are priceless and were easily my favorite part of the day!

Perfect Beach front home

  • 4 of 5

We are a family with 5 small children. We rented this place last minute for a spring break trip. The owners were very prompt in their response time and helpful in every way! The view of the ocean is mesmerizing from the living room and deck. We saw whales every day! The kitchen and dining area is spacious. The couch is super comfortable and large enough for our big family. The beds were all super comfortable and the AC in the rooms made it extra comfortable! I was nervous to rent a place for a week not really knowing what to expect but this place matched everything I was hoping for! The location along the north shore is perfect! Super close to Ted's Bakery & FoodLand. I even forgot some clothes in a drawer and the owner was kind enough to quickly send them to me! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting a perfect north shore getaway right on the beach! The pictures on the site really don't do it justice- it's even nicer in person!

Beautiful house on a great beach!

  • 5 of 5

Rented this house for a family vacation. We were 5 adults and 2 kids. Both of our kids are 2 years old so we needed child amenities and this house was very accommodating. It offered pack-n-plays for the kids to sleep in and a high chair for them to eat in. There were also plenty of extra towels, sheets and blankets. The house was gated which made us feel very safe and there was plenty of parking for us to entertain guests. The owner was very communicative and helpful with any questions that arose. The 2 larger bedrooms were very nice with AC. The third bedroom with bunks was fine for the kids but got warm without AC. The living/dining area was really comfortable and cozy with a beautiful large deck to hang and watch the ocean on. All beach gear was there for our use including snorkel and surf equipment. Unfortunately while we were there, the huge swells made the beach completely off limits. It sucked having a great house on the beach without being able to use the beach. Obviously this is no fault of the owner and always a possibility when booking the north shore in winter. C'est la vie! We all loved the house and were sad to say goodbye to it when our stay was up. Would definitely book again and are very appreciative of everything the owner did for us! Thank you!!!
