About Kate Ellis

As a family owned cottage it holds many memories and all we wish is people enjoy it and respect it as a home not just a holiday let.

Why Kate Ellis chose Camborne, Redruth & Hayle

Our parents purchased the cottage approximately 30 years ago and we have spent most summers at Orchard Cottage and when our father retired they spent 2 weeks out of 6 enjoying living, gardening and sailing at Port Navas. We love spending time in an area we have come to love and my brothers sail and we all love the nearby walks, with various dogs. As we all work hard we do not spend the time we would want at Orchard Cottage and therefore we feel that other people would love to experience the slice of peace and calm in Port Navas, exploring the wonder county and the nearby countryside, coastal walks and wonderful eateries.

What makes this cottage unique

The sun terrace is a perfect place to relax and take in the calm, clean air of Cornwall. Orchard Cottage is an end of terrace cottage situated in the small hamlet of

Port Navas which is a picturesque little creekside village well off the beaten track as far as most tourists are concerned. For most of the nineteenth century it was a busy port shipping granite from nearby quarries. Helford oysters have been landed here for more than a hundred years and the Duchy Oyster Farm still operates from the quay. The tiny Village Hall hosts art exhibitions and other events throughout the summer. As our guest you’ll have have temporary membership of the Port Navas Yacht Club; a local institution and a great place for an informal lunch or Dinner.
