About Steve Jones

Having spent many happy holidays in St Ives first as a couple and now with two young children we truly know how lucky we are to have an apartment in this very special place. It is still primarily our getaway with the children from our busy lives but we always promised that if we were ever lucky enough to own a place here and rent it out we would try hard to make sure all our guests went away with the same magical feeling we have always had after a stay We are sure that wherever you stay in St Ives you will enjoy its magic as we still do on every visit. St Ives is a magical place with beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters. Big enough to enjoy many varied restaurants cafes and bars but still retaining the feel of an old fishing village.

The apartment has some of the most iconic views of St Ives and out to the ocean and yet is only a five minute stroll to the harbour and beaches. Though modern and bright the apartment still has a cosy feel to it

St Ives is internationally renowned for being home to numerous artists due to the unique light in the area. There are art courses in an around the area for aspiring artists who may also get inspiration by visiting the Tate Gallery in St Ives itself

The apartment is located within a 5-10 minute stroll to several beaches including Porthminster and Porthmeor, the harbour and St Ives cobbled main street. All beaches have beautiful golden sand and clear waters

Travel:

St Ives train station is approximately 5-10 minutes walk to the apartment as is the main bus terminus for St Ives

What a view!

Great flat, amazing view, good location. The flat had everything we needed and we appreciated how quiet it was. Games, books, dvds and beach equipment were a nice addition. Location was ideal - central enough to pop into town or the beach without being noisy. We definitely plan to return.

Lovely apartment with fantastic view!

We had a lovely holiday in this apartment which had everything we needed for our stay, it was modern, clean and had plenty of space for our family of 3. St Ives is a beautiful place and the view from the apartment window was amazing. The owner was really helpful and answered all our questions and the meet and greet was very helpful too.

Comfortable spacious apartment with lovely views

We had a lovely week in this apartment which started with a meet and greet and 'tour' of the accommodation. The owner had kindly left milk, tea, coffee and biscuits which was a lovely welcoming treat. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable with fabulous views over the harbour.

The apartment itself was in a good location only a short walk from the main shopping area. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen contained everything we required and the washing machine was a useful addition.

A long stay car park is at the top of the road and if you buy a weekly parking ticket from the Island car park or library this can be used in any of the long stay car parks within St Ives. This is useful if you have a day away from St Ives as all car parks are busy during the school holidays and finding a space can be tricky. The Park Avenue car park only offers weekly tickets purchased using your mobile and this will only cover you to park in that one individual car park.

The owner has provided plenty of board games, books and DVDs which were invaluable on the odd wet days in with two young children. Although we didn't use any items from the shed, there were buckets and spades, crabbing equipment and body boards available for use which again was a very thoughtful gesture.

It is worth mentioning that you cannot park directly outside of the property for loading/unloading, you need to go up three steps outside house no 8 and walk up a path to the property. However, the parking bay outside of no 8 allows free one hour parking during the day and overnight parking until 8am.

Overall, a lovely apartment in a very central location. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Awartha Mor - very nice holiday flat in beautiful St Ives

it was a really nice stay in Awartha Mor.

We enjoyed the time and especially the beautiful view of St ives and the harbor. The distance to the harbor was not too far and only five miuntes away.

We will recommend Awartha Mor to al friends, who are interessted to make holidays in Cornwall.

Lovely views!

A lovely apartment with very beautiful views, in a quiet and slow pace location. We felt at home, as the apartment had everything.

The Jones family were very generous... they kindly let us stay an additional day (free of charge!).

We would certainly recommend this charming property.

And we hope to come back again soon.
