About Robert Howes

Hi. My name is Rob and I have lived in Harmans Cross near Swanage for about ten years. I am a freelance Sound Engineer/Musician and Teacher and share my wonderful house with my three children. We share a love of the outdoors, be it walking, running, kayaking, mountain boarding, windsurfing and swimming, we make full use of the natural facilities in the area. We spend our holidays exploring new places and also hope that others can share our enjoyment in spending time in our home in Dorset.

Robert Howes purchased this house in 2002

Why Robert Howes chose Purbeck

Our house sits plum in the middle of the Isle of Purbeck and is only minutes by car, away from many varied and interesting beaches. When we viewed the house, we immediately fell in love with the 1/3rd acre garden and the totally fantastic views; the garden backs on to National trust farmland and lends itself to beautiful scenic walks after a few days on the beach!

What makes this house unique

Our house is very much a family house. It has been decorated to a good standard, is well looked after and well used. The garden has been designed for children and adults to have fun. For youngsters there is much to explore, including a a mini football pitch with goals, a climbing net, trampoline and wildlife pond at the bottom.

For adults it is a place to relax and enjoy views and lends itself to outdoor cooking. We are also happy for visitors to use our indoor table tennis table in the large front room as well as the quality badminton net and rackets outside. There is plenty of room for parking...up to 5/6 cars, boats etc.
