This peaceful, airy, air-conditioned 6th-floor (with lift) studio apartment, suitable for a couple, has a super 18ft (6m) balcony. Located in the neighbourhood known as Musiciens, it’s an easy 10-minute walk to the beach, and about the same distance to the main train station. There are several restaurants within moments of the front door, along with bakeries, supermarkets, pharmacies - and even a VeloBleu (bike rental) park! The “quartier” is popular with local people, and while there are well-known hotels in the area, it retains its genuine neighbourhood feel. The tourist areas of Vieux Nice, the lovely new Promenade du Paillon and the Zone Pietonne, with their wealth of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops, are all within 10-25 minutes on foot. Guests will probably spend lots of time enjoying the balcony, which has a table and chairs for four. The main living area has a comfortable, easy-to-pull out sofa bed.

About Suellen Grealy

My husband is from Nice, but after 30 years of living in London, he's sort of a Frenchman with an English accent, and I'm a Londoner with a slightly American accent. We talked about moving to Nice for more than 20 years, but the opportunity didn't arise until two years ago, when Joel went into business with his sister here. We miss London, but waking up to blue, blue sky nearly every day makes us happy. We know it makes other people happy, too - which is why we decided to buy this studio apartment with its lovely balcony and share it with our friends - and with others, too. I've been exploring Nice and the Cote d'Azur ever since we arrived, and I really believe it's one of the most magical places in the world!

Why Suellen Grealy chose Nice

We looked for an apartment in the Musiciens neighbourhood because even though it's central and close to the beach, it doesn't feel touristy or overcrowded, the way other parts of Nice sometimes do. It's rare to find a studio with such a big balcony, and we loved it the moment we saw it. The apartment has a calm, airy feel and, quite simply, it's a nice place to be!

What makes this apartment unique

There are several things that make this apartment punch above its weight. First of all, the balcony: it's about 18ft (6m) x 6ft (2m), with sliding doors to the living room and separate kitchen, plus a big sun awning (sunny until mid-afternoon). If the beach weren't so close, people might be excused for spending their whole stay lazing, snoozing, reading, eating and drinking on the balcony.

Secondly, it feels spacious. The living room (with double doors), kitchen and bathroom are joined by a bright hall, which gives it an open, airy feel. Thirdly, it's equidistant between the Promenade des. Anglais and the train station - about 10 minutes' walk from either. By train you can easily get to Monaco, Menton, Cannes, Antibes within half an hour!

The balcony is on the 6th floor. Utility Room: There is a washing machine in the bathroom. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: One set of bedlinen and two sets of towels (not beach towels) per guest. The apartment is cleaned before guest arrival, but maid service is not available during your stay. Other: There is an entry hall with full-length mirror.

Studio with a great balcone

We stayed a week in the end of July at rue Verdi, and it was excellent. The nice flat is located at 6th floor with its big balcony, for us it was great and we enjoyed late afternoons and evenings under the awning. All facilities in the studio was as described and was to our satisfaction, it was well equipped. Internet, AC, cooler, coffee machines etc worked well

The flat is situated in a very nice area and anything needed is just around the corner. ( bakery, shops, café and small restaurants) approx.

10 min walk to the beach, 10 min walk to central station and 15 minutes to shopping centers

We have recommended the place our friends

We had a wonderful time in Nice and in the apartment!

We stayed in Nice for four days. The apartment is situated in a lovely neighborhood and in a convient distance from the sea, the old town and the train station! The terass was so beautiful that we stayed home several nights to eat dinner outside! At last, but not the least - Suellen was very helpful and service minded! We hope to come back!

Suellen's apartment is great and exactly as described. Walking distance from the beach and other Nice attractions. The balcony is amazing and I spent there every morning, eating breakfast and enjoying the lovely sun..

This Studio apartment was just perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. We stayed here for 6 nights - good location (only a short walk to the train station, the old town, the beach etc), spotlessly clean, well equipped and a fantastic balcony. Unfortunately we didn't always get the weather to use it, but that just gives us another reason to come back! Suellen (the owner) met us at the property and explained everything to us - very friendly and helpful - telling us not to hesitate to contact her about anything. Nice is quite expensive, but definitely worth a visit. We bought a Riviera pass, which gave you free access to many attractions - worth it if you want to see/do a lot. We discovered a little restaurant around the corner L'antica - food very nice and good value for the standard of meal you got. Nice is also ideally situated for exploring the rest of the coast - Villefranche and Antibes are beautiful.

Fantastic location and lovely studio

When we arrived Suellen was there to meet us, She showed us around and how to do things. We found the whole experience brilliant, we could not ask for a more friendly person. We went to Monaco and the train station is only 5min walk away. The beach and Old Town only a short walk. It was the best holiday we have ever had, so relaxing and comfortable, we loved the balcony where we had breakfast every morning. The local Bakery is only down the road for fresh bread and pastries. We needed the washing machine and used it everyday. If you want a relaxing, stress free holiday this is for you, and the shower is brilliant too!!
