This cosy beautifully presented apartment forms part of Tilery House, set on a hill overlooking the picturesque village of Chatton and the stunning Cheviot Hills. The property has been refurbished to a very high standard and guests can enjoy home from home comforts whilst being well positioned to explore all that Northumberland has to offer. For those visitors looking for relaxation, why not spend time relaxing in the living room watching the large variety of wildlife that visits the garden (over 100 different birds, deer, red squirrels and boxing hares). Alternatively for the more energetic, there are many walking and cycling routes on the doorstep, fishing at the nearby lake, tennis in Wooler or golf at the many local golf courses. All visitors will find that The Annexe has something to suit their needs. The local village of Chatton is a short walk away offering a post office, shop, church and the local pub, The Percy Arms.

About Roz and Gerald Dickinson
Tilery House has been in the ownership of the Dickinson family since the early 1960's. The property was lovingly renovated from 2003 - 2007 so that we can continue to enjoy the benefits of living in Chatton. Positive comments from guests constantly remind us how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful & tranquil place. We have invested a huge amount of time, thought & effort into the renovation of Tilery House in an effort to retain the character & beauty of the property. Our love of natural materials such as stone, slate and oak have influenced both the interior and exterior of the property. Guests have commented upon the attention to detail. The Annexe is a cosy home from home with lots of paintings hanging & high quality furnishings.

Why Roz and Gerald Dickinson chose Chatton
When the opportunity to buy Tilery House (& The Annexe) with its outstanding views arose, we snapped it up. The dream of living in a rural location with a huge variety of wildlife visiting the garden has surpassed our expectations. Last year we had over a hundred different birds including woodpeckers, nuthatch, tree creeper and various tits and finches, many feeding just outside the living room window. Owls, partridge, pheasants, boxing hares and occasionally deer visit the 1.5 acre garden. Walking to the pub in the village and standing on the old stone bridge, I have been fortunate enough to see otters. Walking home on a clear night you will definitely be treated to a velvety black star filled sky and if you are particularly lucky the uplifting sight of a shooting star.
What makes this Apartment unique
The beauty of The Annexe is its central location which enables guests to explore in a different direction every day, whether it be walking by a river in the National Park (4 miles away), cycling on deserted roads (we have bikes you can borrow), horse riding (beach rides are available locally), visiting castles, golden sandy beaches, National Trust properties, country houses, or walking in the Cheviots. There is fishing a very short walk away or I have a stretch of river in Wooler which you can use. Locally there are golf courses, tennis courts archaeological sites and much much more. Round your day off with a bar meal and head home to relax in the comfort of the Annexe. If you would like to go to a nightclub or rave, north Northumberland is probably not for you. Hope to meet you so

Brilliant - immaculately clean, great location and a welcoming host.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Gerald was very welcoming and the property was both immaculately clean and well-equipped. All the rooms were airy and pleasant. It was a perfect base for many of the region's sites from Bamburgh and Seahouses to Hadrian's Wall and Alnwick Castle. We especially enjoyed the bird feeders hanging by the lounge windows which were constantly in demand from the local songbirds - including some lovely blue tit chicks! We hope to go back soon.
Characterful annex to lovely cottage. Wonderful views, wildlife and peace.
The cottage annex had everything we needed and was nicely decorated and furnished. We couldn't believe the views of the hills. The wildlife kept us entertained for too long! Birds at the feeders in the window, pheasants and partridges on the lawns and hares! Archaeological sites of interest a short walk away and a nice little village close by. The owner was very friendly, as was everyone we met on our holiday.
Beautiful accommodation in a lovely position, great host - everything you need for a good holiday.
Lovely views. Very comfortable and good position for all attractions
Very comfortable and well equipped
The property was clean and well-equipped, and the owner very helpful. I had to remember to duck my head for the low doors, however! The kitchen was compact, the living room spacious, the bed very comfortable.
If you love birdwatching this is the place for you, as they feed right outside the window. The woodpeckers are lovely to watch. Good central area to site see and easy parking. The kitchen is downstairs so you do have to go up and down a lot. No problem for us but could be if nit good with stairs. Lovely cosy place to stay with a very comfy bed and great shower
