The ground floor apartment is located in Central Brixham overlooking the harbour and only a few minutes walk to the shops, beaches, marina and the Berry Headland. Free parking is provided. Its an ideal location to explore Torbay and South Hams beautiful surrounding coast and countryside. Some of the local attractions include: Agatha Christie's former home 'Greenway', now a National Trust property, get there by car, steam train or ferry. Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts in Torquay, Brixham fishing harbour, Dartmoor and all its rugged beauty is only a short drive away. There are many beaches and coves nearby. There are many Golf courses in the area the closest being Churston, which again is only 5 minutes away by car.

Brilliant position, very comfortable holiday let.

We had an enjoyable three night stay in Brixham, this property was of an acceptable standard for a holiday let in its price range. However it could definitely do with some redecoration, carpets cleaned (not just vacuumed) and a higher standard of pre-occupation cleaning as the windows had a black mould in the corners and the skirting boards could have done with a clean to remove the dust gathering along it. I've never been a fan of induction hobs and our experience with this one meant we ate out most mealtimes.

That said it was warm, the bed was clean and very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the shower was enjoayable.

Overall I would return for a short term visit and give the apartment a 3* rating, the 4* I have given is for our overall experience of Brixham made more enjoyable by the apartments location.

Fabulous location

Location, Location, Location!!! Just Fabulous! We are regular visitors to Brixham. Our most favorite place so decided on a few days away for our 45th Wedding Anniversary. So with a late booking we were lucky to find somewhere available. However, the mouldy damp smell that greeted us was just awful! The very first morning I decided that I couldn't bear the smell so went out and bought cleaning products to remove the mould from the skirting boards. I moved the settee and the bed to clean behind them too. I was also worried as my husband has breathing difficulties and the mould is very bad for him. We expected a better standard for our money. So the five stars are for the location not the flat which could be very nice if the problems were attended too. The furniture is clearly never moved as there were peanuts and party popper strands under the settee, I left them where they were. The cobwebs on the back of the head board were like lace. With the cleaning I did and with leaving the windows open as much as possible I think the smell will be much improved for the next holiday makers although the issue urgently needs addressing.

It is very disappointing to receive such a review since we do try to maintain the property to a high standard and to provide a high level of service to our guests, many of whom are repeat and are usually very happy. We will investigate your points and review with our cleaning contractors to ensure the problem is corrected. Not an excuse, but the the period you stayed was a very wet and damp time in Brixham.

Excellent. Over 50 years experience of self catering holidays , one of the best properties.

A coastal path walking break and car park not too far away. Useful to stay near centre in case of bad weather which , luckily , was non-existent. Only downside was loud sound of bass guitar from bar next door on first night. Did not stop until near 11.30 so sleep not possible until afterwards.

Captains Cabin

This ground floor flat has a lovely view across to the harbour and whether it's day or night it is very picturesque. The Golden Hind replica can also be seen in all its splendour. The flat is advertised as sleeps 4 and consists of a bed settee in the living/front room,however it is far more comfortable for two as there is only one large double fitted wardrobe in the main bedroom which makes for limited clothes storage if it were 4 adults. The living room also has Sky TV. The Galley kitchen with washing machine,microwave and large fridge freezer is well equipped.Bathroom is a step in shower which has a seat for disabled use but could be improved with a shelf for soap/shampoo etc while in use. A bonus is the small enclosed private courtyard out at the back, lovely for breakfast alfresco or a peaceful drink. The Quayside hotel is located next door and has a small but friendly bar with evening entertainment. It is a short walk to the harbour and shops with something for all tastes. One alternative to the many fish & chip shops around the harbour is Verna's Pepper shack which specialises in beautiful Afro Caribbean cuisine. A must try !!!!!

One downside is the parking which is located 300yds up the road from the hotel where a permit from the hotel has to be displayed or clamping is enforced. Anyone who has trouble walking may find this problematic as due to the road being busy it is very narrow and even with disability badges parking outside the building would cause serious traffic problems.

Will definitely return to this very nice flat in lovely Brixham.
