Set in large grounds with easy access to Ambleside, it’s around a 15min stroll into the town centre and a 5min stroll to Wydermere water, the ferry runs every 20mins to Bowness, a variety of cafes, takeaways and a cracking pub wait if you are waiting for the ferry and situated opposite a large park
The accommodation comprises of 1 double bedroom, bathroom and living/dining room, it is very spacious, clean and well kept by the owner, the heating is more than adequate for the size of property, plenty of storage space with fantastic views of the mountains
We stayed over the weekend of 23/26th March 2018, and can recommend a stay for either a few days or longer, as this property is certainly value for money
I can’t find anything negative to say about this property as our stay was incredibly enjoyable.
A big thank you to Kevin & Janice, we will be booking with you again a true caring owner

Cosy and warm with a nice outdoor area
Generally the accommodation was of a reasonable standard. It was warm and cosy, but fairly small. The location was excellent for getting to the lake, boats etc. Ambleside was a short drive or walk away.
There were 3 things that I felt were not great. Firstly the hot water it took an age to get hot and then it was barely more than a dribble. Secondly, the blind in the kitchen was broken, there was a note which looked as though it had been there for some time. Thirdly, I don't know if we were unlucky but there was a lot of noise from upstairs (sounded at times as if they were dragging chairs.
All in all we had a good time and the accommodation was fine, access to the property could be difficult for people with mobility problems.
Cozy, comfortable and we'll laid out.
Our second stay here, a very pleasant flat for two. The only real issue is the lack of soundproofing; every step above sounds like banging on the ceiling and the folks above us snoring was difficult to sleep through. Still, a very comfortable place to call home for a week.
Our holiday heaven
Another week's stay in this fabulous flat, can't think of anywhere else we would rather be, always clean, cosy, with everything to hand, park your car a few steps away. The window frames the wonderful Loughrigg Fell like a picture, an ever changing picture at that, even makes doing the dishes interesting. We always feel reluctant to leave, but then look forward to going back. Ambleside and the area are just wonderful. Have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful property.
5th stay - no complaints
Another wonderful stay in this delightful flat, it is exactly as described, cosy, clean comfy and peaceful. Have to disagree with previous reviewer, we were here again for 2 weeks, there was occupants above in all this time, and we heard absolutely nothing from above. The shower is also spot on, powerful and always as hot as you need it. There was plenty storage for our 2 week stay also, you really don't need anything else. As I always say, we have every intention of returning yet again. Once again, we feel we have had a real holiday.
Not top of range but get what you pay for. Small bedroom with limited space and storage. Shower temperamental but hot eventually. Kitchen good. Comfy seating. Warm. Seating at front with lovely views.
Lots of noise from apartment upstairs. .could hear all conversation, flushing toilets during the night and general walking /moving around of occupants, furniture and heavy belongings.
