Goody Bridge Farm is a characterful farmhouse on the outskirts of Grasmere with many walks on the doorstep. It was our much loved family home for over thirty years. It has 4 bedrooms - one superking ensuite, 2 doubles with wash hand basins and a bunk room. There is also a family bathroom and large TV lounge with coal effect gas fire upstairs. The ground floor comprises a modern family dining kitchen, cosy sitting room with open log fire, study, utility with washer and drier. There is also wifi & parking for 3 vehicles. Many guests hardly use their cars as there are beautiful walks both easy and challenging right form the door. It is a mere 10 minute stroll to the popular village of Grasmere with its many excellent cafes, pubs and restaurants. The property is let on a weekly basis commencing on a Friday.

Goody Bridge has been our family home for over thirty years. We have raised three children there and love the house and the area. We have been letting the cottages at Goody Bridge for over 15 years and have many returning customers - some who we now count as friends.

Travel:

Manchester Airport is approximately one and a half hours drive. Windermere railway station is 20 minutes by taxi. Car not essential, but recommended is you want to explore the whole area.

Distances:

The properties are about half a mile from Grasmere village and 15 minutes drive from Ambleside. Grasmere Lake is a 15/20 Minute walk.

Further Details:

There is a post office, a newsagent pharmacy and a coop which is open until 8pm everyday and often til 10pm in the village which also boosts many excellent cafes pubs and restaurants. The nearest bank is in Ambleside
