House in Criccieth, Wales - Criccieth Is A Wonderfully Peaceful Seaside Town Which Appeals To Old And Young All Year Round

Loma Linda has ample accommodation for 6 people. We have made sure that it retains the feel of the family home rather than a holiday let. Even on the coldest, wettest of days the house offers the most stunning views of the ever-changing sea. Sit anywhere in the living room and you can see the sea either through the large sliding doors or reflected in the huge mirror on the opposite side of the room, Light a fire, listen to the seagulls and snuggle up with tea and iced buns from the local bakery and feel the tensions melt away.

About Ceri Howard

Loma Linda is owned by Ceri and David Howard and was built by Ceri's great uncle in 1910 and has been in the family ever since. It shows! The house retains the feel of a home from home, and is much loved by the select few visitors who have been coming to the house for many years.

Although David and Ceri live in Milton Keynes, they - and their grown up children - continue to visit the house as often as possible and are not looking for many bookings. What they do want are visitors who will look after their home as they would their own - and who appreciate the warmth of the house and the stunning beauty of its views over the sea towards Harlech and mid-Wales.

As the property has always been in the family, Loma Linda is not just a holiday house to us, so any changes or repairs we make to the property are made with a lot of thought to try to ensure that the character of the property does not change. Almost all of the income we receive from the house is ploughed back in to enable us to maintain it to a high standard. Of course we, and our ever increasing family, love to visit, and we get enormous pleasure watching the next generation exploring the rock pools, eating Cadwaladers ice cream and paddling in the sea the way we did when we were children. A large number of our visitors have been coming for over 10 years now and we hope that they will continue to enjoy Loma Linda as we do for many years to come.




The house is located on top of Criccieth promenade overlooking the main beach. The beach is ideal for families with young children as there is plenty of sand, and rock pools for exploring with nets. Dogs not allowed on this part of the beach May - September though a short walk to the end of the prom takes you straight to the dog walking area (on the way to Black Rock Sands).

Established in the age of the train, it has retained its traditional family holiday appeal with its two beaches and ancient Welsh castle. It has several good restaurants and pubs, interesting local shops and is, of course, home to the world famous Cadwalladers ice cream. Whether you want to explore Snowdonia, visit the many tourist attractions or just get away from it all, Criccieth is your perfect holiday destination.

  • Description of sleeping capacity: Sleeps 6 (4 Bedrooms) Notes on bedrooms: Bedroom 1 - king size bed (sea and mountain view), Bedroom 2 - (sea and mountain view) - this bedroom has undergone a complete makeover November 2016. There is now a king size bed, positioned to face the sea (instead of the 2 singles). The room is almost finished, we are just waiting for new shutters, chest of drawers and mirror plus a custom made window seat to allow for even more opportunities to gaze at the incredible view. Bedroom 3 - twin beds and travel cot. Bedroom 4 - single (2'6") full length bed and wash basin - would suit child or adult not wishing to share 3rd bedroom.

Notes on accommodation: Loma Linda is a non-smoking property. Outside: There is a compact front garden and parking area for two to three cars at the back of the house. There are sun loungers and a small patio table and chairs available for visitors use. Shed for storage of buckets, spade, boat etc. Utility Room: Washing machine and tumble drier. Washing line situated at the back of the house. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and bath/hand towels are provided. The property is cleaned before visitors arrive. Other: Separate Study/siting room which is stocked with toys, games, puzzles, books to keep the children amused. Also has TV, new sofa and beanbag. Visitors have access to unlimited wireless broadband.
