Bedrooms 1
Space 807 sq. ft.
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

A rural retreat with great views in the heart of historic South Cheshire

Pinsley Corner Barn has great views, superb local pubs, an excellent network of walking & cycle routes and is close to historical picturesque towns of Nantwich, Chester & Shrewsbury.

The Barn is entirely on one level, south facing, and benefits from uninterrupted views of the Cheshire countryside.

The open plan living space is bright and fresh with a fully fitted kitchen, patio doors, dining area and comfy suite for relaxing, reading, taking in the views or snuggling up and watching the television or a DVD. There are cloak facilities in the main living area.

The separate bedroom is well proportioned with a chest of drawers and a double bed, again with great views of the open countryside.

A fully fitted ensuite with generous shower facilities adjoins the bedroom.

Outside the Barn benefits from a dedicated parking space and generous lawn area; superb for taking in the views and night time star gazing.

Pinsley Corner Barn is located within the grounds of Pinsley Corner Farm, historically a working farm but recently entirely rebuilt and now the private residence of the owners.

Access is gained via the owners private drive with one dedicated parking space clearly signed.

The adjoining building and garden are the owners private residence.

The field to the rear is part wildflower hay meadow and part small (max 4 caravans) Caravan Club hideaway site where other couples can also enjoy the peaceful countryside between May and September.

Pinsley Corner Barn is located at Pinsley Green, a stunning area of South Cheshire known for its excellent pubs, walks, canals, historic towns and cycling routes. Set only a mile or so from the villages of Wrenbury, Aston & Marbury the Barn has all the benefits of the countryside yet only a short walk from excellent local pubs, the village shop and train station.

You’ll love it because of the cosiness, great views, peaceful countryside, stargazing, and only a walk away from the pubs, village shop & train station for evenings out in Nantwich or Shrewsbury, or day trips such as Manchester or Church Stretton.

The Barn has its own dedicated parking and is ~15 miles (~20 minutes) from Junction 16 of the M6, about 1 mile from Wrenbury train station, is near local bus routes, and is on National Cycle Route 45. Wrenbury train station is a request stop station and is ~1 hour from Manchester Airport station. The nearest major train station is Crewe ~10 miles away.

About Sarah

Sarah, Oly, Lily & Copper (the dog) look forward to welcoming you to Pinsley Corner Barn.

Having originated from the area we know and love all it's hidden gems and wish to share this little pocket of countryside with others who are looking for a rural retreat.

Sarah purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Sarah chose Cheshire East

In 2012 we bought a local rather a small rather the derelict remnants of a small we had a vision.

After 3 fun years, of long days, hard graft, new skills, a sprinkle of tough luck, and a dab of good fortune we built our vision.

We live within the main house on the grounds, and rent out this holiday cottage barn for couples wishing to have a rural retreat. Within the field behind we also have a small number (max 4) of Caravan Club members who visit to enjoy short tranquil breaks in the countryside.

You are duly invited to join us, and enjoy our pocket of rural South Cheshire and all the hidden gems that there are to discover!

What makes this cottage unique

Easy access to excellent local rural pubs, walks, historic sites, local events within a very short distance (walking or public transport) but still being located within a very rural area.

Plus the Big Cheshire Sky and stunning views!

Fantastic place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding at Wrenbury Hall. Easy to find and an ideal location for Wrenbury, we couldn't be happy.

The accommodation is clean, well presented and very comfortable. Really can't fault it and two excellent hosts in Sarah and Oly who couldn't do enough for us.

A peaceful retreat in a very busy world

  • 4 of 5

Cottage very well equipped and spotlessly clean, owners Olly and Sarah extremely helpful and always available if needed. Lovely area with plenty of things to see, and the peace and quiet was wonderful, all in all a very pleasant break.

One of the first few visitors to this lovely accommodation. The area is gorgeous. Hosts very helpful. Please note, if you stay there is currently no washing machine or wifi but comfy bed, nice shower and newly refurbished. Nantwich nearby is a lovely wee place. We hope to return.

Owner's Response: Really lovely guests, a joy to have stay. No WiFi at present due to slow rural broadband but we do now have 4G mobile coverage! Looking forward to seeing you again.
