We run a small business in the Midlands and bought the cottage because we have always had holidays in Cornwall with our children..they enjoyed the area as toddlers and still want to go there as teenagers!
jocelyne adams purchased this cottage in 2011
We have always loved St Ives and bought this cottage two years ago and have lovingly restored it over many months, transforming it into a holiday home both ourselves and our customers enjoy staying in. It is in a quiet street near the centre of St Ives, being only a five minute walk from the centre.
The cottage is convenient for all beaches in St Ives, as well as the harbour. It is near to the shops, pubs, restaurants and Tate Gallery but enjoys a quiet location away from the traffic and crowds. There are no steps to climb up and down to get into the town and we have super fast broadband and a lovely wood burning stove!
April 2014: 'Thanks so much for such a lovely stay in your beautiful house. What a lovely traditional old cottage. And so tastefully decorated and well kitted out! Loved the wood burner. Very cosy. And fantastic location too. Nice and quiet and yet only minutes from everything! Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely come back !! STEPH, London.
"We had a brilliant stay! Weather was excellent and did some good walks too. I really loved all the unique touches on the property and the log fire was excellent. Also a real bonus is the house has a good hair dryer! Do you have the property listed on trip advisor as I would like to leave the good feedback on there?" Katie Matthews, May 2015.
"Perfect, cosy, only minutes from everything in St Ives." Gavin of Shrewsbury
"Thank you for letting us stay in your gorgeous cottage, we love it," Thomas of Bristol
"You have done a beautiful job of restoring the house - very stylish," Mr and Mrs Weston of London, March 2015
We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Sails. The cottage was perfect and located less than 5 mins walk from the beach, bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to St. Ives and we're already thinking about when we can go again. Blue Sails is perfectly placed and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Thank you, Jocelyne! We'll be back!
The cottage was beautiful , felt like home from home . It was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need . Only a few mins from the beaches , harbour and shops . We had a fantastic time there .
What a delightful property this is! Simple and compact, it manages to squeeze in everything you'll need - the design of the kitchen is a small miracle, and the hand-built fittings there and in the smaller of the two bedrooms are of top quality. The location, just a couple of short streets removed from the bustle of the centre of St Ives, is ideal, and there's a choice of long-stay car parks within a five minute walk. We've stayed here twice now, and confidently expect to do so again.
Beautiful little cottage in great location just minutes from shops and harbour. We had a fantastic time with our two dogs. Lelant has a lovely dog friendly beach and St Ives and the surrounding countryside is gorgeous. Would recommend The Queens, Halsetown Inn and a lovely walk (allow 90mins with dogs) to Lelant for lunch and a pint at The Badger Inn!!
Stayed 2 nights in this beautiful cottage, location is perfect and cottage is equipped with everything you need. Lovely comfy bed and stunning shower. We loved using the log burner in the evenings, felt so cosy!
