Fantastic spot, spotlessly clean cottage, lovely hosts.
Peaceful yet within eay reach of all amenities. Beautiful cottage with all mod. cons! Sunshine was lovely too!

The house is very pleasant with good parking and a landlady who communicates readily. Alpacas graze in a nearby field and can be seen from the bedrooms which were a delightful surprise. Although the quality of the accommodation is superb with beautiful cotton bed linen and big fridge freezer, with a yummy little lemon cake on arrival, there are otherwise almost no basics supplied there so you do need to take everything with you, eg there was a scraping f washing up liquid , only enough for one washing up even by saying out the bottle, and one toilet roll, about ten tea bags and some sugar/coffee/milk sachets but that's all. Shop in Helmsley was open in the evening though so we got supplies in.
A lovely spacious cottage that has everything you will need for a relaxing holiday. Gorgeous views from all of the windows and lots of space for kids to run around! There is a little village a 5 min drive that has takeaways, supermarkets and pubs and it is only a 40min drive into York. Would definitely recommend staying here and the owner is very helpful and will answer even the most silly questions!
Great location on the edge of the North Yorks Moors National Park with lots of wonderful walks. The cottage was very comfortable and was much enjoyed by us and children ages 6-12.
Fabulous stay at Sproxton Hall cottages, lovely cottages with excellent views of the surrounding countryside, a short drive to Helmsley where there are some great pubs and eateries.
Such a lovely, cosy, warm and welcoming cottage. Clean and tidy. Lemon drizzle cake on arrival delicious. Very peaceful. Helpful hint would be a box of matches would be handy to light the candles. We replaced candles we used. A couple of really large pans for pasta or casserole for larger families would be an idea as I had to boil up three pans for cooking pasta in. These aren't complaints just an idea! Thank you so much. Fabulous walk from cottage to Helmsley. We were going to do Helmsley to Rievaulx the next day but ran out of time plus heavy snow showers. Drove there instead. Amazing abbey. Owl experience evening at Duncombe Park was magical. Hope to be back soon.
The cottage and its surroundings/views where perfect for our holiday in North Yorkshire. It provided everything we needed and was beyond our expectations. With the home made scones going down a treat for myself indeed on arrival !!! The kids loved the animals on site and where regular visitors to collect eggs and say hello to the sheep, they missed them when we got back home. We had a fantastics time and Mandi and I will be recommending you to family and friends.
