Lovely and Peaceful Location
We loved our stay at this quant cottage in idyllic Cornish countryside. It is close enough to the main towns and yet far enough away to come back to blissful peace and quiet. The night skies here are beautiful and very easy to gaze endlessly. Bernard and his family are very helpful and at hand if you need them. I commend them also for giving privacy during our stay and leaving us to it. I hope to visit again.
Great quiet location.
Classic Cornish farmhouse cottage. In a quiet location despite is being on the edge of a small working farm. Owner really friendly. Only 10 mins drive to Looe and an hour to Eden Project or North Coast (Newquay etc). Will be back.
This is our second visit to this lovely clean cottage,it has everything you need to complement your holiday in this area of Cornwall. The owners are very helpful and friendly, highly recommended , only downside for us was the lack of a shower.
Typical quaint country cottage
We arrived at the cottage after dark, was quite an experience driving down the extremely narrow lane but so worth the wonderful views that we awoke to the next morning. Fields of sheep and cows and rolling hills were our neighbors. The cottage itself was really sweet and lovely and warm (we were here in October), we found the beds very comfortable, 3 in one room and 2 singles in the other with plenty of space. The bathroom was o.k but I missed a shower and the mixer hose didn't work well with the taps, either boiling hot or cold! Also I found the kitchen equipment fairly basic but we managed. The cottage was well placed for visiting Looe and Polperro, fish and chips from Daves Diner in Looe a must-fresh caught haddock was most excellent. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely consider returning if we holiday in this part of Cornwall again.
For a holiday we like all the comforts of home but with a difference. The cottage lived up to all that we could have wished for. The ceilings were low in places only a problem for a 6foot son in law and the stairs were qwerky but I only slipped once. The location was remote and quiet - phone signals and internet mostly a no go but that means you are truly on holiday. We all had a fantastic week especially 18month old grand daughter who insisted on viewing the sheep through the window whenever we were in the kitchen and short walks to the field to get a close up view of sheep and cows. The cottage was everything we could have hoped for and more and we would highly recommend it for like minded people.
Just had a fantastic week at this cottage. Perfect for a great value family holiday. The lanes are narrow to and from (just like many Cornish roads) so go slow. It was the hottest week of the year but the cottage remained lovely and cool. Owners opened the gate to the field for us to walk our dog, and this also allowed us to have some fun with the kids (rounders and football). Very small criticism, few more utensils needed for cooking. Headroom was an issue for husband at 6ft 1 but that isn't the cottages fault! Easy drive to Looe for the beach and Pelynt has a big Spa shop for necessities. I'd recommend this cottage for those with children (stairs are a bit twisty but easy to get used to) or couples that want a peaceful break. Very quiet area, cows and sheep in the fields, not a lot for teens so they'll have to read a book or watch a dvd! I'd certainly go back, perfect for our family, plenty of space for the kids (ours are 11 and 14) inside and out. If you don't want to cook breakfast, drive to The Tavern in Liskeard, all you can eat breakfast £8 adults, kids free.Jubilee Inn in Pelynt is fine for an evening meal but if you want value and lovely food The Coffee Shop (yellow sign) Italian cafe in Looe is great, her waffles are Devine.

Two good local shops in Pelynt including a traditional butchers with parking and a Post Office. Local pub serving good food & restaurants in Looe serving fresh locally caught fish. There is a wonderful walk into Looe through the tidal river valley from the cottage which takes about an hour.
