Having recently been completely redecorated and refurbished you will be sure of a comfortable stay. With a 42" TV, dvd and Freeview plus a selection of games provided. Walmer has a good array of shops, pubs and has a railway station and good bus service. Is close to 4 golf courses, fishing, sea and freshwater and the beach.

My name is Susan Couchman and I have lived in Deal all my life, I am married with one son and run several businesses in the town. I live close to the property which makes it easy should there be any problems. My husband helps with the property and is the regular gardener, he is also a kean golfer being a member of Walmer and Kingsdown Golf Club.

Why susan couchman chose Kent

I have owned this property since 1991 but only decided to holiday let it this year. It is in a nice quiet part of our village but with good access to shops and transport, so it seemed the logical thing to rent out as a holiday home. It is close to the sea but also on the edge of the countryside (the best of both worlds).

What makes this bungalow unique

Being all on one floor makes the property good for people with disabilities, there are also aids in the property to help (wide doors, handrails etc) There is a good enclosed porch at the front which is good for storing prams/wheelchairs etc. The property has great storage inside so if you are golfing or fishing there is plenty of room for your equipment.

Notes on accommodation: Property is child friendly and good for the elderly. Sorry smoking in the property is not allowed. There is good off street parking for one vehicle and the street is quiet with plenty more parking. The village has all the shops needed and a good fish and chip shop. Outside: Good sized private sunny rear garden with patio areas, garden furniture and BBQ storage in garden shed. The garden is attended regularly by our gardener who gains access via the garage so does not need to enter the property. Small front garden. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen provided, tea towels and kitchen hand towels, not bathroom towels. Property cleaned at beginning of each rental and linen changed, however, for a small cost additional cleaning/linen change can be arranged. Other: Wi-fi Available and Bt Vision (including BT sports channels).

Great location, comfortable place to have holiday.

House was clean and comfortable. Basics were provided except bath towels.

Off road parking in quiet location.

Only complaint was state of the garden which was overgrown and not a place to sit out and enjoy as it could well have been.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay, we do have plans to completely re-do the garden during February and March ready for the next summer season, its difficult to do during the summer when we have guests staying. Lovely little bungalow with all the facilities you need, great space to accommodate 4/5 people. We had a lovely time visiting family in the UK and the kids loved watching the birds and squirrels

Lovely bungalow. Clean tidy and well equipped in a quiet cul de sac.

Walking distance to several local amenities i.e. Baker, Butcher, Pub, Fish and Shop and Londis store. Fish and chips very nice, baker excellent.

Only one down side, would like fridge to have been a little larger. We will be back.

stayed here for a weeks fishing in february, property was in an ideal position for us fishing in deal. property is in first rate condition and has more than enough things for 4 people staying. everything was in good condition and clean. pub has started doing evening meals with steak night weds and thurs good value at £8.99. alas fish and chip expensive and not very good

Walmer/Deal beach 3 mins by car, Kingsdown beach 5 mins by car. Long promenade and flat, from Kingsdown to Sandown. Deal has a pier and there are plenty of good eating places surrounding the beach. Paddling pool for small children and good park area on Walmer promenade. Deal & Walmer Castles sit just off the beach area. Good sea fishing off the beach and pier.


2 Mins walk from Walmer station. London coach stop 2 mins walk. 7 Miles from Dover port with regular ferries to France and Belgium. 17 miles from channel tunnel. 15 miles from Manston airport with regular flights to Holland. High speed link to London from Walmer station.


2 miles to Deal town centre, for local shops, beach, Deal station. 7 miles from Dover Castle, 18 miles from Canterbury (a popular city centre and the Cathedral). 18 Miles from Westwood Cross shopping centre. 22 miles from France (making a good day out) 3 miles from local freshwater lakes.

Further Details:

Deal has all the major banks, plenty of good restaurants and pubs. There is a couple of supermarkets and good local food shops. Walmer has a large park with tennis courts. Deal has a good programme of events during the year including a Carnival week in July. There is a large fun pool and sports centre 3 miles from the property.
