Beautiful Country Cottage
Staying in this beautiful cottage provided us with an authentic Scottish experience. It is beautifully decorated and anything you might need is provided. Lynne and Mike are friendly , welcoming ,and very helpful. This was our first trip to Scotland. It provided us with a central location for travel. It is an easy walk to the village for dinner, a drink at the local pub, and grocery supplies. If you are a hiker, a forrest with numerous trails is a fun option. We highly recommend this Scottish cottage.
Thanks Leroy for your review, glad you enjoyed your stay in our cottage. It was a pleasure to meet you and Kathy and we would welcome you back anytime.
Clean and well-supplied cottage with spacious views of rolling fields and hills.
Very clean and well supplied cottage with all amenities. Lovely views and local walks. We played 'Bluebell Polka' with guitar and two fiddles to honour Jimmy Shand! Saw red squirrels in the nearby woods, and deer jumping fences.
Great cottage, home from home.
Lovely and clean, the owners are helpful, and the cottage is all that you expect it to be.
As soon as we arrived the cottage felt welcoming and homely with little personal touches, lovely secure garden for the dogs.
Just Perfect, it had everything the Doctor ordered.
Quiet country retreat to retire to after a days Adventure- Kayaking/Archery/Mountain Biking, touring Castles or Golf at all the local budget priced courses(we paid only £9 up to £16 each for 18 holes).
Although owners live next door you wouldn't know it - total privacy, my two sons and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay sleeping in comfy beds every night after our adventure holiday.
Munro hunting, Kayaking 30 mins away, Mountain biking, Archery and not forgetting the Golf...we were able to attempt all this from this central location.
Spectacular views from the front of the property over the Leven Hills, everyday the painting changed with the weather at sunrise & sunset at 23:00 (unbelievably long daylight hours).
The Cycle pub in town is only a short walk downhill, uphill on the way back sobers you up!
The mighty midge didn't even bother us in this area.........
Of course we intend to return annually for a father / sons break if Lynne will have us.
Thanks so much David for your review, we're delighted you enjoyed your stay in the cottage.
Thanks also for the feedback about little things we could do, we're always keen to improve, the cottage is now the proud owner of a colander!
Look forward to welcoming you again.
Scotland at its best
The 4 of us initial expression has we crossed the threshold was "WOW". We enjoyed every single moment we spent in the cottage.
The cottage design, the flooring, the furniture, the kitchen, was better than we expected and more than we hoped.
