Beach Walk Holiday House is ideal for all age groups, the house is situated adjoining Newquay’s Golf Course and the famous Fistral Beach. Fistral Beach is just one hundred metres from the doorstep, which is renowned for hosting the World ASP Surfing Championships. Boasting it’s new BSA Surfing Centre together with Fistral Blu restaurant, café and designer shopping complex. At the end of Belmont Place is the Red Lion Pub which overlooks the Harbour, together with two surf shops and the popular Harbour Hotel which is a boutique style restaurant/café overlooking the Harbour and Newquay Bay. The Sainsburys supermarket and town centre is situated along Fore Street which is about a five minute level stroll from the house.

Outside: enclosed rear pet friendly garden , with sun loungers and dining table , and chairs with sun umbrella and gas BBQ for those summer nights Utility Room: The house has all you will require , iron /ironing board , hoover, internal and external clothes drying facility , washing machine with softener and tablets provided. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The changeover day is Saturday , and the cleaning team arrive at 9am on the day of departure. The house will be ready from 2pm on arrival and will have fresh towels for all guests together with complimentary Molton Brown bath products. Other: private parking of two cars at the rear of the house with gate leading to the garden and sun terrace.

Disappointing but could be great.

A few tweaks needed for this property to live up to its potential.Our party consisted of 4 adults, a 5 year old & a baby. We expected lots of space as it is listed as sleeping 8 but actually we were quite cramped. It is a 3 bed mid terrace where the dining room has been changed to an extra bedroom.This is no good to the elderly/infirm as the shower & loo are upstairs, & more space downstairs is desperately needed.The kitchen table only seats 6 anyway & it is not ideal for that number as it has to be pulled fully out from under the stairs & leaves little room to pull chairs out.As a previous reviewer states, the lounge only seats 5 as well. Needs a coffee table in there to put drinks on too.

The location is excellent for beach & for shops. The property is in good decorative order & kept very clean.Note to housekeeper: maybe you could do an item check as parasol & sunloungers were missing, also none of the Molton Brown products were to be seen & the barbecue had not been cleaned out by previous tenants. ( Items brought eventually by owner but we didn't report missing toiletries as we had brought our own.} Also the games provided were all broken/ had parts missing but Richard the owner replaced these the following day.The beds are very comfy but only 1 room has a wardrobe out of 4 bedrooms.

The biggest issue is parking.I think fitting 2 cars in would be very tight.We were blocked in by neighbours both next door & opposite on a few occasions & the narrow bumpy alley not easy to negotiate..Yet there is a car park opposite the front of the house.Maybe the owner could obtain an annual pass & increase the weekly rent by a fiver to fund it.

The photos /overview needs updating as the kitchen chairs are cheap plastic & not leather as shown, no pink smeg fridge/freezer, no toiletries are provided,& there isn't a gas barbecue.

This is the only place we have ever stayed that does not provide an information folder with emergency numbers, gadget instructions etc, which I thought was a legal requirement.

Whew- hope all that hasn't totally put people off as we did enjoy our holiday.Recommended for families of 4 only & please convert downstairs bedroom back to a dining room!

P S the outside space was great!

Not quite as described

Firstly I would like to say this house is beautifully decorated and is in the most perfect location for both the town and the beach. The first issue for us, was parking. We arrived in two cars which to be honest is probably pushing the parking spaces. There is a driveway around the back but it's along a very rough track which I would not want to attempt in my husbands car. Secondly, we did have to move the neighbours plant pots in order to get out so if your party has more than one car parking will be a massive issue. Getting out from around the back of the terraces was a nightmare if there were cars parked in the street .The other thing, although it has four bedrooms and would sleep 8 the kitchen only seats 6 and the living room only seats 5 comfortably. The other issue for us was only one toilet and bathroom. If you are more than a family of 4/5 then this house won't be big enough. We were told when we arrived that the gardener would be there that afternoon as the patio was very weedy but we never saw him the whole week we were there!!
