A most enjoyable holiday in Torbay
This was our second stay at Monkswell, which is ideally situated in a quiet location; Jenny and Julian as before were most welcoming. The Garden Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, providing everything you could need, with the most beautiful gardens and breath taking sea views. As we had a hot, sunny week we stayed 'local' in the Babbacombe to Brixham area and found plenty to see and do.
First rate accommodation, clean, warm and great views. Quiet and secluded yet close to town. The Christmas tree in the lounge a nice touch
Fantastic sea views in a lovely property
This is a fantastic location,if you can get up early enough the sunrises over the sea can be beautiful.The apartment is very well equipped and very comfortable.We liked it so much we have booked another stay.It is also a great location for walks along the south west coast path can reccomend the walk to Oddicombe beach it has a very nice bistro and lovely view.
It`s like coming home
It was the third time we stay at Monkswell Park (Garden Rooms) It is a beautiful accomodation. We missed nothing. Everything is perfect - we come back!
We stayed tn the Garden Rooms for a week and loved it so much we would have extended our time there if it had been possible.
The Garden Rooms is an annex to the main house, where the owners live, but it is completely self contained and has its own secluded patio area in beautiful garden. It is spacious, features all the comforts of home and is so well maintained that it felt like we were the first people to stay there.
As was said by another reviewer, the pictures do not do it justice, unlike many places I have stayed, it is bigger than they suggest and the views are stunningly good.
There is plenty to see and do nearby and there are good shops and restaurants within walking distance of the property.
We loved our cottage. The garden for children to run around and the mesmorising ocean views.

Monkswell Park is located on the South West Coastal Path, benefits from an extremely rural and quiet picturesque cliff top location and yet is only one and a half miles from the centre of Torquay. It is and just half a mile from the nearest public sandy beach complete with it's own beach cafe', and there is access to a near-private pebbled beach from the one and a half acre lawned garden, though please note the steps down to the beach are steep, can be strenuous, and may be dangerous for unaccompanied children. Monkswell Park is situated right on the coastal path for walking, and within easy reach of Dartmoor, the historic towns of Dartmouth and Exeter, many tourist attraction, and recreational and sporting facilities, including; swimming, picturesque harbours and marinas around Torbay.
