Apartment in Windermere, Lake District, Cumbria, England - Quiet location with direct access to country walks yet just one mile from the centre of Windermere

Independent, one-bedroom, ground floor, extremely well appointed modern apartment in owner occupied lakeland cottage. Circumscribed by beautiful open countryside with far reaching views towards red screes and the lakeland mountains and with direct access to country walks etc. Yet only a one mile walk along a winding lane will bring you into the very heart of Windermere village, rich with excellent local shops, restaurants and pubs. Completely refurbished in late 2012. Ideal for long weekend breaks and/or full week's holidays. Suitable for couples but sorry, no children or pets. No smoking. Kitchen includes all mod-cons - dishwasher, fridge, freezer, fan oven, glass hob, microwave etc. Lounge with large 42 inch flat screen TV with Sky - including Sky Sports and Movies. WiFi network also available. Bathroom has very large walk in shower - but sorry no bath. Off road parking for one car in designated area and space available to keep bicycles etc.

Payments and Conditions:

A deposit of £50.00 (electronic transfer) is required to secure the booking. This is non-returnable if the booking is cancelled and on arrival it is converted into a breakage/damage deposit which is refundable on departure subject to no damage/breakages.

Full payment for the booked period is required (electronic transfer) a minimum of 21 days prior to arrival or together with the deposit if a single electronic bank transfer is preferred.

Maximum occupancy: 2 persons.

No children.

No pets.

Strictly no smoking.

Off road parking for one car in designated area only.

Arrivals after 3pm and departures before 10am.

About Dr Robert H. Booth

Bob and Carmen Booth are now retired and enjoy living at Pipers Howe after a life time of globe trotting - Bob worked in agricultural research and education and has been stationed in Latin America, Far East, Middle East, Africa and Europe. Daughter Isabel and son Anthony have long flown the nest but visit regularly together with grandchildren. Bob and Carmen are on-hand/resident at Pipers Howe should any additional needs arise.

Clean, immaculate apartment in beautiful gardens

We have had a lovely weekend staying at Pipers Howe for our 30th Wedding Anniversary in an apartment which has fixtures and fittings which are luxurious and comfortable. The apartment is conveniently situated for Lake Windermere by car and we were able to organise a local taxi to collect us and return us to the property at a cost of £10.00 each way when we went out for a meal and drinks at The Boathouse. We would certainly look to stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending to others wanting to stay somewhere quiet and private.

Superb apartment

Pleased to say it was easy to find ,the narrow lane concerned me (soon got used to it) and was everything I'd hoped it to be and more

So peaceful and lovely view and very pretty gardens we were welcome to use

Had a lovely welcome from Carmen who explained everything expertly and told us they were available if we needed them

It has a lovely sitting/dining /kitchen with beautiful furnishings and large TV .The bedroom is spacious with lovely bathroom and gorgeous large shower

Everything is first class and high standard Felt so relaxed here and ideal for visiting area For the more fitter person you can walk into Windermere a taxi back for sure .

There's such a wealth of information provided and comfort it is one if the best holiday accommodations we have stayed in Would like to think we will return Thank you Carmen and Rob

Short break holiday

This little gem of an apartment is ideal for a couple to get away from it all. It's situated in a quiet part of Windermere with easy acces to all parts of the lakes.

The apartment is extremely comfortable and decorated to a very high standard.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect holiday base

Arrived in the pitch dark and Carmen was waiting to welcome us. The apartment was lovely and cosy, very comfortable, with good quality finishes. Carmen and Bob made us very welcome then left us to enjoy our break while still on hand if we needed anything. The apartment is in an ideal location - peaceful but very convenient for Windermere and beyond. Views are fantastic. Hope to return

A lovely place for a relaxing break

This holiday apartment was really easy to find and it was an ideal location for a Lake District break, as it was so close to Windermere and a good base to travel to the rest of the area. The property was spotless and had all the amenities you could require for a relaxing self catering holiday. We were met on arrival by the owner who handed us the key and showed us round the apartment answering any questions we had. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to others, and we will hopefully return next time we visit the area.
