Description

Chia Villa Rental Photos and Description

2 bedrooms, each with bathroom and wardrobe, wide and well equipped verand

The house is perfect for a family or a group of four people. The two bedrooms, with their own private bathroom and wardrobe, are located in opposite sides with respect to the living room. This layout enhances very much privacy and quiet sleeping. The wide and well equipped veranda is perfect for breakfast, dinner, relax and sun bathing. Wi-Fi is not available in the house but it is possible to find it in the nearby Resort (free of charge) and in any coffee bar in the area.

Our village is on top of a little and very silent hill (60 meters over sea level, few hundred meters from the sea), it has 12 private villas in a typical Sardinian architecture. In the village, very close to our house, there is a small but very nice pool wich is shared among the 12 villas. The pool is generally open from mid-May to the end of September, according to the facilities management decision. In case of specific interest, please ask the owner for updated information.

In the Laguna and in the Chia area there are many wild and unique beaches free of charge where people prefer to go. We provide towels for the beach.

Close to the house there are supermarkets, typical Sardinian restaurants and coffee bar.

The country is wide and wild and you will have the opportunity to discover not only the nature but also the folklore of the small villages and towns here and there. Furthermore you may take a day off and drive towards the north of the Island, along the sea or inside the country, to discover more nature, more history, more people, more beaches and more food too.

If you play golf, at 20 km from the house (20' by car) there is the Is Molas Golf Club with 27 regular holes.

At few hundred meters from the house there is the Chia Laguna Resort. During the opening season (usually from April to September) we, as properties owners, have a privileged access to their facilities. So, as our guest, you will be welcome too.

In the Resort you will find pharmacy, newspapers, bank cash dispenser, WI-FI station, SPA, fitness center, coffee bar, restaurants, golf driving range, tennis courts, and many other services. Every year the management of the Resort publish a special Directory for our villas in which there are shown the services they provide to us and related costs. If requested we send it to our guests.

A perfect place in Chia

  • 5 of 5

The villa of Antonio and Lia is located west of the lagoon area in Chia and has a great view towards the beaches, the lowlands and the surrounding mountains. The villa is surrounded by a mature garden, and is very secluded even if it is part of a villa complex. As other reviewers have pointed out, there is a flight of stairs to ascend from the road below (or you could alternatively descend from a road above), so it is not ideal for people with mobility issues, but we did not find the stairs a problem – and, after all, if you want a view, you must be prepared to do a little climbing!

The villa itself has everything you need, and probably more. It is laid out with a bedroom and a bathroom on either side of the living room & kitchen, so it can easily be shared and offers each party a bit of privacy. The living room has two comfortable sofas, a TV and a blueray player. There is no WiFi in the house, but there is free WiFi several places nearby, e.g. Bar Mongittu on the other side of the lagoon. This bar is highly recommended as a lively place for all kinds of people, offering a great aperol spritz and a view of creative driving and parking in the crossroad which probably would give a traffic planner a nervous breakdown.

We stayed in Chia in the second half of September, which is the end of the season for some of the hotels, but several restaurants were still open, and the beach facilities, too – sunbeds, umbrellas and bars, some serving a full lunch. The beaches in Chia must be among the best in Europe, and there are so many of them that you can visit a new beach every day. From the villa, it is not far to the nearest beach (and if you are lucky, you will come across some of the flamingos) or you can drive to many other beaches. In calm weather, the nearest beaches were perfect, also for swimming, while on more windy days, we found that Spiaggia Tuerredda ten minutes’ drive west of Chia was perfect – it is sheltered by a small island and has surprisingly calm sea. The sea temperature was gorgeous – you could stay in the water for as long as you wanted.

Antonio is the perfect host, always ready with help and advice on the cell phone. The villa of Antonio and Lia is a place where you would like to return. Highly recommended.

Super villa in a lovely area

  • 5 of 5

Spent a super week at this well appointed and charming villa. Such a bonus to have a well equipped kitchen and both bedrooms to have en suite bathrooms. The patio area provides great views and is a lovely place to eat and socialise with shaded and open areas. The small pool was welcome on hot days but there are also many lovely beaches around - really liked Tuerradda, Nora and the local Chia beach. Plenty of good places to eat in Pula, Nora and particularly recommend Antico in Cagliari if you get the chance. Interesting places to visit are the Roman ruins at Nora and the amazing caves at Grotte di Is Zudas.

Antonio was an attentive host and all went to plan! Would highly recommend this proprerty but be aware there are quite a few steps to climb to the front door so may not be suitable if you have very young children or are not so mobile! We felt it gave us an excuse to eat more!!

Beautiful villa in Chia

  • 5 of 5

We have just spent a lovely 2 weeks in this beautiful villa. When we arrived we were welcomed by Santina, the local housekeeper.

We have found the villa spotless, in very good condition and I am very particular about these type of things. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with lots of good pans which is very refreshing to find as we have stayed in lots of different villas with bad/poor cooking utensils and as I am a keen cook this is something that is very important to us.

We went a couple of times to the Conad supermarket in pula (20 mins drive) to do a big shop then we used the local Luna supermarket to buy daily provisions.

The villa is lovely and spacious, with ample wardrobe space in both bedrooms. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The house is of a very high standard - this is not your typical rental property, you can see the owners have spent a lot of time and money making it very functional and beautiful.

The veranda is lovely: our daughters spent many hours playing outside, reading, drawing, looking at the different plants and my husband and I loved reading our books at nighttime with the most mesmerising starry sky just above us. The sunrises were just out of this world... if you get up early enough, which I do! The veranda also has amazing sea views across the Laguna and the surrounding mountains, all very picturesque!

The villa is very quiet during the evenings and very cool during the night, although the weather was very hot, we never suffered the heat whilst in the house, there was always a gently breeze, so nice!!

Chia beaches are truly amazing, every day we went to a different one (you really need a car to explore the area). We have travelled to lots of places around the world and the beaches in Chia have nothing to envy to the beaches in Asia, Caribbean or the Indian Ocean.

Signor Antonio was always prompt in his replies and very friendly to deal with. He was very attentive and generally charming.

If you are thinking of your next holiday to Chia, make sure you stay in this beautiful villa.

Thanks again to Signore Antonio and Signora Lia for letting us stay in your little peace of paradise, the Owens.

Wonderful stay - fantastic views!

  • 5 of 5

My wife, two small children (2 and 4) and I stayed in this lovely, quaint villa for a week in mid June and had a fantastic time.

The villa is situated towards the top of a series of independent villas, which allows fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding hills to the north/east and sea to the south-east. It has an outside dining area perfect for all meals and an outside lounge area that is shaded from about 4pm (roughly G&T time!).

The apartment itself is very convenient inside, well-equipped with mod cons and was extremely easy to maintain. There is house-keeping twice a week but all cleaning products and apparatus are provided.

There is a pool up a short flight of stairs at the side of the villa which was perfect for our children and good to take a dip and cool off if you are having a 'home day'.

The beaches in Chia are clear and shallow, however a bit windy for our children. Yet, less than 5 minute drive away is the Spiaggia di Tuerredda which was simply divine. Small waves, well protected from wind and good facilities such as toilets and fresh water showers (which were scarce on the other beaches we went to). There are two restaurants and a bar there also.

We shopped at Conad supermarket 20 mins away (detailed review been written by someone else). Bit pricey in June, (but no alternative), however local prosecco at around EUR 5 is brilliant, as is the local wine.

The owners are lovely and extremely helpful. We had only a small issue whilst there which they fixed within hours and were very understanding.

Although as a rule we never visit the same place twice, I would definitely visit another villa of this owner and strongly recommend this charming place to stay to others.

Perfect 2nd stay at this lovely villa

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed at this villa. We decided to return because the first holiday was great. It is well equipped, clean and tidy. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and has great views. In Late May/early June which is the very start of the season it is very quiet as most villas are unoccupied at this time which is perfect for us. The beaches are also empty (unlike August) which again is perfect for us. They are a very short drive away and are better than carribean beaches with crystal clear water. The is a very large well equipped supermarket 20 mins away (Conad) which we recommend you use for your weekly food shop. But if you need a few bits and pieces then the Luna market is ideal which is only across the road to the complex. Pula is a great town to visit with lots of restaurants and things going on in the central piazza. Ideal if you are there at festa time. They also have a market on a Tuesday morning which is worth a visit. It is 20 minutes in the car where the Conad supermarket is.

Antonio and Lia are the perfect hosts and will do anything to make sure your stay is perfect. The housekeeper, Santina, is also very helpful; it is nice to be greeted on arrival and to be shown where everything is.

It is highly likely we will return again.

Thanks Antonio and Lia.

Great Villa and Lovely Holiday

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay at the end of September with our 2 year old daughter. The villa was clean, well equipped and enjoyed gorgeous views towards the lagoon and sea. Its location meant that there are a lot of steps to and from the road which can be hard work with a toddler that refuses to be carried. There was a bit of mould in the bathrooms as there had been some water leakage before we arrived but other wise the villa was great and I would certainly recommend it.

The beaches are close but not really walking distance with a small child, and they are some of the best beaches I have seen in Europe. In fact this entire stretch of coast was stunning, I recommend the drive from Chia along the coast to Teulada for some breath taking views. We also spent some time in Pula as we had a couple of days of storms. The town was really nice with some great places to eat we also explored the Roman ruins at Nora.

We were there very late in the season so some of the resorts and restaurants were closed but there we still plenty of places to eat.

All in all a fantastic holiday and great place to stay.

Owner's Response: At the end of september we registered a spot of humidìity on one ceiling due to a water leakage from the upper villa. The leakage has been promptly stopped, and the room has been repainted but the spot of humidity came back again since the ceiling was not dry yet. The problem will be solved during the early maintenance.
