Lechlade Barn Rental Photos and Description

Barn at Lechlade, The Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, England - Surrounded By Beautiful Countryside And Picturesque Cotswold Villages For You To Explore

Lechlade is a bustling town on the River Thames and the gateway to the Cotswolds. The Barn at Lechlade sits in the grounds of Bridge House, built in Cotswold stone in the late 17th century and retaining many of it's original period charms. It has a large open plan sitting room with plenty of space to relax overlooking the beautiful gardens. The area is steeped in history and dotted with picturesque Cotswold villages to explore. Lechlade is surrounded by beautiful countryside to explore on foot or by bike on one of the many cycle routes. There are plenty of opportunities for fishing or boating on the river or book a round of golf at one of the nearby golf courses. The towns of Cirencester, Cheltenham and Oxford are all within easy reach with all they have to offer, whether it's shopping and fashion you're after or a literary or music festival or a day at the races. If it's fine dining you're after then try one of the fabulous restaurants or gastro pubs all just minutes away.

About Deborah Dyer

I am a mother of 3 with 2 girls now at University and a boy taking his GCSE's. I live in Lechlade with my partner Peter and 2 black labradors. I am a fashion stylist and fitness instructor with an active and busy business and social life. I love entertaining and love sharing my gorgeous barn with guests whilst they visit the Cotswolds.

Deborah Dyer purchased this barn in 2012

Why Deborah Dyer chose Lechlade

I've lived in Lechlade for years and when faced with moving I couldn't leave the area. I like being in the Cotswolds where you can experience the beautiful countryside (including walking my dogs down the Thames every morning) while still being close to Cheltenham and Oxford for that all important retail therapy.

What makes this barn unique

On the edge of Lechlade, you'll sample the real cotswold life - peace and tranquility but with access to all the activities that come with a cotswold village by the Thames. The main town of Lechlade offers riverside pubs and quintessential village shops. Its a popular fishing location and idyllic for that afternoon roast and post meal stroll. A little further up the road Cheltenham and Oxford beckons. Shopping trips to Cheltenham can be organised or you can simply relax in comfort at the Barn. Either way, we offer a real experience you're sure to remember.

The Barn, a lovely well maintained home from home!

  • 5 of 5

A very relaxing holiday staying in The Barn, we were made very welcome by Deborah and family including dogs! We felt totally at home with every convenience to hand. The gardens were beautiful, well established, children friendly but lovely just to stroll around. We hope to return in the future.

Cosy with style in the Citswolds

  • 5 of 5

We were delighted to arrive at The Barn in Lechlade on Thames. It was a last minute booking and we were not disappointed. It was everything we wanted in a gorgeous converted barn. Bursting with style with lots of lovely little touches including a most delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake. Deborah was an amazing host who cooked us the most incredible breakfast; suffice to say there was no need for lunch that day! My daughter loved the Barn and didn't want to leave. She fell in love with the two dogs Brian and Boris and enjoyed walking them through the sheep fields. Lechlade is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds; without being a busy town itself. We also enjoyed a dinner at Kushi the local Indian restaurant. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer. We hope one day we can return. Thanks Deborah.

Fab welcome with yummy cake! Lovely barn conversion with luxurious comfort and style. Big fluffy towels, comfortable bed. Safe parking and good for Cotswold touring. Short distance to shops, river and pubs/restaurants, also handy for.Raf Brize Norton where our son is stationed. Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay

  • 5 of 5

We (husband, two teenagers and I) stayed at The Barn in April. I really can't say enough about this wonderful place. The accommodations themselves were great - clean, spacious, well stocked kitchen and a cake to greet us when we arrived! The yard and gardens were such a relaxing location to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Also, it's within walking distance of Lechlade for eating out and groceries. And, to top it all off, there was a 1/2 basketball court, soccer goal, trampoline, ping pong, dogs and guinea pigs which our boys loved! Overall A+++ place to stay.

The Barn at Lechlade

  • 5 of 5

The barn was a perfect place for our party of 2 adults, 2 children (age 16 and 12) and dog to enjoy a relaxing week in the beautiful Cotswolds. The freshly baked croissants were a welcome treat when we arrived - it's these little touches that make the difference.

The outdoor faciilties for the children (and adults) were amazing - tennis, basketball, football, table tennis, table football, tree swing - never short of anything to do. Indoors the barn is gorgeous, so light and airy with comfy beds, sofas etc. Wifi was also a welcome addition and essential for todays teenagers. Debs and family were lovely and always there if we needed anything. Gave us great recommendations for dog walks, places to visit etc - helped us feel at home straight away. Would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely barn in the most beautiful little town of Lechlade.
