The unique aspect of this property is that there are 2 houses The main house sleeps 8 and the cottage sleeps 4 in this magical setting

We only rent one property to ensure you have exclusive use of the pool area. The Main house is rented out weekly at £3,500 and the cottage at £1,900..

The grounds are set in 8 hectares in the highly protected Natural Park giving privacy and peace. There are outstanding unspoilt views of the sierras and river valley which is Andalucia's only remaining virgin river.

The Main House

was built in the early 19c and has been restored to the highest standard and is an eclectic mix of new and old. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with 3 terraces overlooking the river and Sierras. The terraces have comfortable seating and dining areas. The sitting room has sliding glass doors on two sides that open up to spectacular views of the river.The kitchen and dining area are modern with all the facilities that you would expect. The house is furnished with antiques and artefacts with contrast in every room combining old and new whilst retaining the unique Andalucian architecture with stone and terracotta and a hint of moorish influence. There are 2 towers and one is ideal for relaxing in this wonderful space with the towers vaulted ceiling.

As you would expect there are all the modern facilities such as Sky TV, DVD, WiFi, Sound systems and AirCon in the principal areas.

The cottage is open plan with high vaulted ceilings and is modern and light. There are 2 terraces, one of which is covered with comfortable seating and a dining area. There is a master bedroom with a seperate bathroom. The living area is open plan that has a mezzanine bedroom that is again open plan. The open plan living area has a fully fitted kitchen and dining area as well as a comfortable seating area and with a high ceiling gives a wonderful sense of space. There is WiFi throughout the cottage as well as SKy TV, DVD and a sound system

The swimming pool and tennis court area is an ideal place to relax on the sun loungers or hammocks or play badmington or table tennis. There is seating for 12 for dining and a BBQ. Fridges are on hand for drinks as well as a small kitchen for the BBQ. There is WiFi at the pool as well. At night the pool can can be lit up as well as the romantic fairy lights in the trees that surround the area.

All sports equipment is provided as well as beach towells. The pool is 11 x 6 metres and the tennis court is grass with a few unpredictable bounces!!

Around the Finca there are amazing views of the Sierras and the breathtaking sunsets that sillouette the olive trees perched high up on the sierras. At night it is a stargazers paradise and with little light pollution the milky way lights the sky. The Finca is set in the Natural Park of Los Alcornocales (The Cork Forest) and has areas of woodland with wild olives and towering cork trees that are from the oak tree family. There is a gate that leads to the river where there are walks from gentle strolls to exploring the breathtaking scenery. 100 metres from the house are great bathing areas in the river pools with views of Jimena's Moorish Caslte. In May and June the river is a garden of Pink Oleanda and these months have fantastic wild flowers that spring up.

You are unlikely not to see the eagles and many different birds that frequent the Natural Park as well as the many different animals that live along side us in this protected habitat.

The finca is very private but only a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk to Jimena that has many restaurants and bars where you can sample the local cuisine of Iberico ham to the fruits of seafood from the Med. There are supermarkets and Banks as well as a medical centre just in case but many of the little shops sell the fruit and vegetables cultivated by the locals in their vegetable gardens.The Andalucian people are incredibly helpful and friendly. There is a festival in May marking the Andalucian history with horses. In July their is a music festival with Flamenco and world music and In Mid August is the main Summer Feria that goes on for 3 days

During your stay there is a member of staff, Jose Luis, that will ensure that the pool and gardens are maintained as well as cleaning the terraces.

Naturally he will be discrete and fit in with your wishes.

There were goats in the ruined Farmhouse and the cottage only had stones where the walls once were.                                                                 • The Swimming Pool Area The swimming pool is 10x6M – relax on the sun beds or have a siesta in the shade on the hammocks. There is a dining area with a wrought iron gazebo covered in flowers for shade that seats 10 people and has internet access. There is a grass tennis court, table tennis and badminton and all equipment is provided. At night there is a BBQ and the area is lit with fairy light or just swim in the lit pool. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels/linen are included and the house is cleaned weekly. .

                                                                  The Mediterranean is 25 minutes away and Tariffa on the Atlantic coast has some of the best beaches in Spain and is an hours drive. Travel: Malga Airport is 1,5 hours and Gibraltar 40 minutes and Jerez de la Frontera 1.5 hours Distances: Jimena de la Frontera is a sleepy white Andalucian village only 5 minutes away by car or a 15 minute walk. It has a wide choice of restaurants and bars with two supermarkets and a health centre. Perched on top is a Moorish castle with spectacular views of the sierras and Morocco and Gibraltar. Further Details: Walking There are spectacular walks . Just walk out the gate to the river. We have route guides for a 30 minute or an all day walk and you are sure to see amazing scenery and likely to see soaring eagles in the sierras. Morocco You can do a day trip to Morocco from Tariffa on the fast ferry that takes 35 minutes Ronda There is a train from the village that takes an hour and enjoy the view as the train negotiates the ravines as it climbs to Ronda that has Roman origins and has one of the oldest bullrings in Spain. Gibraltar is a 40 minute drive enjoy duty free shopping or take the cable car to the top and see the Gibraltar apes or explore the caves. Day Trips The Historic cities of Seville (2hr), Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz (1.5hrs), Granada (3hrs), Malaga (1.5hrs) Marbella and Puerto Banus (1hr) are all within striking distance for a day trip
