We recently stayed at deer valley lodge over the october half term as a family of four with two children 12 and 10. On arrival we found the accommodation exceeded our expectations. This is a well appointed lodge well equipped with all you need for a great stay. Located in the Teign valley it is well positioned with great links to the main roads giving great access to Interesting sites in Dartmoor national park and Devon also. Great walk to Fingle bridge and beyond to Castle Drogo. Deer visit in the late evening and if you are lucky in the morning. We had a fab time and the owner Lesley very helpful with advice and info.highlights Lydford gorge, the marble museum, visit to Exeter and walk to Castle drogo. Great autumnal walks . Site is quite secluded but shops and a couple of pubs not too far. We loved our stay at the lodge as did the children.
