Good sized villa with basic amenities
The villa has a lovely sized pool, a decent lounge area with sliding doors to the terraced overlooking the pool. The kitchen has everything you would need. All the bedrooms have aircon plus the lounge, although you can't run them all at the same time as the power can't cope, and we had one power cut, so we're more careful with power usuage after this.
The showers/water is hot and strong.
The beds are pretty hard but manageable.
The location is fairly residential and I would recommend either hire a car or be prepared to order taxis to get around (there is no shop/supermarket walking distance)
There is only really one restaurant in the village El Txoko which opens for lunch and dinner, the food is wonderful and we had only good meals here. However it is busy so you have to book a table, you can't just walk in.
There is another restaurant Mel's however this is rarely open and never busy, we managed lunch there one day but we seemed more an inconvenience to the staff, although the food was fine.
Also there are no paths at the side of the roads on the walk to the beach/restuarant so make sure you take a torch for the walk back at night.
We never visited the beach as it was about a 20 minute walk along unpaved roads and with a pool at the villa we decided it wasn't worth the hassle.
We did walk on the first night to Binibeca the slightly bigger neighbouring village (after we hadn't realised we needed to book a table at El Txoko and there is nowhere else to eat locally)
The walk was about 45 minutes and again along busy unpaved roads, I would not recommend it, also it's mainly uphill and in the heat of August was pretty hot! Taxi's there are around 10 euros each way.
Don't use the spar in Binibeca, massively overpriced get a taxi or drive to the slightly bigger supermarket in Sant Luis, much more choice and much better value.
So overall we had a good holiday, lots of relaxing days around the pool, however we wouldn't come back as the villa is just a bit too remote for us, the villa itself although adequate is very basic and tired in places and really needs some general maintenance (the sky box just didn't work, and the satalite dish is rusted and falling away from the wall and kept us awake one night banging against the bedroom wall in the wind - we have reported this to the owner)
I would recommend this if you are looking for a nice base with a good pool, don't mind a remote location, and will probably hire a car.
An ideal property for the family with the pool and space for relaxation.
We spent a very enjoyable week at this property and would recommend it to families both young and old.
There were a few minor issues we would like to bring to the owners attention.
In the kitchen there was an unpleasant smell , the source of which we could not identify and also there was some problem with the drainage of the sinks.
We would have appreciated some more thin blankets as it was too hot without the air con and rather too cold with it.
The neighbours at no 25 shouted a complaint through the hedge about the children's noise in the pool. Our daughter-in-law went to their house to apologise. The neighbours are retired and are permanent residents and are finding the noise from holiday makers a great nuisance.
Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday and wish to thank the owner for letting us use such a lovely villa.
The house is exactly how described in the listing or probably better. Everything you need is there. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a fantastic swimming pool. The area is so nice and quiet but close to anything you need (restaurant, minimarket, beach).
Simone is a great host.
We will definitely come back here and we already suggested the property to all our friends.

We really enjoyed our stay here, there was plenty of space, inside and out, it suited our needs very well. We spent a lot of our stay on the terrace, eating home cooked meals and relaxing. It was great to be so close to a beautiful bay with clear water and a clean sandy beach.
The nearby restaurants are worth visiting and the small supermarket a few kilometres away sold everything we needed.
The proximity to Mahon was a big plus, it's a lovely, small city with interesting shops (for clothes and toys) and lots of places to eat and cool down with an amazing ice cream or a cold beer.
A lovely house
We stayed at the house for 2 weeks in September. It is a lovely place in a very peaceful setting and fully equipped with everything that you need. The most perfect beach for families with small children is just 5 minutes walk away. We found no fault with the house, the weather was terrific and as usual Menorca was very welcoming.
We had a great holiday in this villa and loved the area. Everything as described. Enjoyed the pool. Giovanna at hand should there be the need for anything. Lovely beach within walking distance. Son Bou great for banana boat rides! Would definitely recommend!
Coast/Beach: The nearest sandy beach is 10 minutes walk from the villa. Within 10 minutes drive you can reach the sandy beaches of Binibeca or Puntaprima, fully equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, bars and restaurants. The lovely unspoiled beach of Binisafua is at only 10 minutes walks from the property Travel: Mahon airport is within 20 minutes drive from the villa, as well as Mahon harbour. The use of a car is essential to reach the nearest town of Sant Lluis and the supermarkets, banks, etc. Distances: Sant Lluis village is approx. 10 minutes drive, and Mahon about 15 minutes drive. Ciutadella, on the opposite side of the island is approx. 45 minutes drive. Further Details: At approx. 10 minutes drive there is the lovely "Poblado de Pescadores", a fisherman village with some nice restaurants, shops, bars and boutiques. The town of Mahon, capital of Menorca, can offer you any kind of activity, from discos to bars, restaurants, nice walks along the harbour, renting a boat for a day, etc.etc.

Booking Notes: A 50% deposit on rental price is required at booking, 8 weeks (55 days) before arrival the rest of payment has to be made + €300 as deposit for breakages, damages, etc. that will be returned within 1 week from departure. Changeover Day: Changeover days are flexible. As a general rule, guest should not arrive before 3 p.m. at the villa and departure from the house should be at 10 a.m. Different times can be accommodated with the house manager, depending on rental schedules. Notes on prices: Prices are stated on weekly basis. Different prices for last minutes bookings or shorter/longer staying can be discussed and agreed with the owner.
