The apartment is on ground level with easy access. it is attractive, clean and modern. There is a covered patio area and an enclosed garden in which to sunbathe and a barbecue should you wish to cook outdoors. There is ample off road parking. The owners live above in their own seperate home. A local mini market is within walking distance and there are supermarkets and banks at both Speightstown and Holetown. Local dining from Kentucky Fried Chicken to 5 star dining can be found along the West Coast.
Margaret and Bill Blackman offer you a warm English, Bajan welcome to their delightful apartment Tightlines. So called because of the owners passion for fishing. Margaret and Bill retired to Barbados from U.K. in 2002 to build their home in the sunshine. Both are retired nurses.
Tightlines is close to a quiet Bajan village (Rock Dundo) with a local shop and bar and is only a 5 minute drive to one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados.
The apartment is just a short distance away from Highway 2A which gives you easy access to most parts of the island as well as the airport.
The area is peaceful and relaxing.

Bill is a keen fisherman and we are happy to arrange fishing trips for you.
Bill is also a photographer with one of the better known hotels and should you wish an anniversary or birthday picture or just a photograph on the beach we will be happy to do that for you.

I stayed here originally for 3 weeks and enjoyed it so much, I stayed for a further week.
Maggie and Bill were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble, they were both informative and accommodating.
The apartment was clean and spacious. The view from the patio is sensational with lots of trees and beautiful flowering shrubs.
Chris's place is a local mini mart and bar within walking distance where you can eat delicious local Bajan food and drink a nice cold Banks beer. Well worth a visit.
There is a bus stop not far from the apartment which will take you to Bridgetown.
I cannot wait to book my next holiday to Barbados.
stayed here with my family for 3 weeks, apartment spacious and quiet, sensational country and parish views, the neighbours surrounding are wonderful as is Barbados. Bill and Maggie who live upstairs are excellent hosts, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
Good good Bajan food at Chris place, beach is in walking distance, Gibbs bay, although I would recommed a car for your stay

Tightlines is situated just off highway 2A and one and a half kilometers inland from the West coast, coast road. The nearest beach the secluded Gibbs beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados. Close also is the superb Mullins beach with its watersports, bar and other leisure facilities. It is a five minute drive to both beaches or a 20 minute walk. The dramatic East coast is a 20 minute drive away.
The Airport is a 45 minute drive away. Car hire is highly recommended.
Tightlines is just off the main Highway 2A so you can reach all other destinations and places of interest easily. Places such as:
Farley Hill National Park.
St. Nicholas Abbey.
Welchman Hall Gulley.
LimeGrove shopping centre.
Bridgetown is a 30 minute drive away, Holetown 15 minutes and Speightstown 10 minutes.
Within the local area there is the Folkstone Marine Reserve and visitors centre in Holetown and The Barbados Wild Life Reserve in St. Peter were you can mingle with wild monkeys, deer and more.
There is a local store within walking distance, where proivions can be bought, and meals such as chicken, fish and pork ribs can be puchased and ether eaten in the bar or taken home. There are Supermarkets, Banks and ATM's in Speightstown and Holetown.
