Higher House Farm Cottage is attached to the main farmhouse on a traditional working farm. It provides modern, comfortable self-catering accommodation on the edge of East Prawle (the most southerly village in Devon). Just 10 minutes walk to the famous Pigs Nose Inn, village shop and cafe. Ideally situated for walking, bird watching or enjoying the natural sandy beaches in the area. Close to National Cycle Network route 28 and easy access to the South West Coast Path.
The static caravan is situated in a quiet corner of Higher House Farm's Farmhouse garden and has its own gate into the grassed parking area along with sunny decking outside the van, picnic table and barbecue. The lounge is light and airy and has a gas fire, digital TV and comfortable seating. There is also a dining table with seating for six. The Kitchen is well equipped with a full size gas cooker, microwave and fridge. There is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one bedroom with bunk beds. All the bedrooms have fitted cupboards and/or wardrobes. Duvets, sheets and pillow under slips are provided but please bring your own duvet covers and pillowcases. Towels are not provided. The static caravan has a shower room. Electricity and gas is included in the price.
Higher House Farm is home to Marilyn and Richard Tucker and our two teenage children. It is a real working farm - our family have lived in the area since 1720 - keeping cattle and sheep and growing cereals. Marilyn also runs two camping sites and a Caravan Club Certificated Location in the Village. She is an active member of the Parish Community Hall Committee and Richard is the Captain of the Village Pub's Euchre Team.

We moved into the farmhouse in 2010 when Richard's parents reached retirement age and moved out. Previously we lived in a house closer to the village centre. The Village has a relaxed feel about it which is contagious. The idyllic coast and countryside , with rugged cliffs and sandy coves, is waiting to be explored. It is a fantastic place to have to work!
The property has it's own large garden that can be completly enclosed, useful if you have small children. The ground floor is all on one level and has the open plan Kitchen, dining area and lounge, two bedrooms and a new bathroom with electric shower. There is also two bedrooms upstairs with a new shower room. If your visit co-insides with lambing or calving guests are always welcome to help feed any tame lambs or calves we may have - please bring your wellies! The farm is on the edge of East Prawle, the most southerly village in Devon, where there is a Pub (the famous Pigs Nose Inn) a shop and a cafe (who also serve eveing meals). Salcombe is just 15 minutes away via passenger ferry. A babysitting service is also available if required.

Nearest airport Exeter (1hr 15mins), nearest train station Totnes (45mins). Nearest Port Plymouth (1hr). No public transport - Community bus once a week to Kingsbridge.

East Prawle Village has a Pub (the famous Pigs Nose Inn), a shop and a cafe. The nearest town is Kingsbridge 9 miles away. Here you will find a Morrisons and Tesco supermarket, banks, launderette, and Quayside Leisure Centre which has a swimming pool, bowls court, sports hall and gym. Dartmouth has a Sainsburys supermarket and a Marks & Spencer Food. There are plenty of fishing opportunities either from the local beaches or from a boat out of Salcombe. Horse riding can be found at Slapton (8miles).

Changeover day Saturday. The cottage must be vacated by 10.00am and is available for occupation from 3.00pm. The caravan must be vacated by 10.00am and is available from 3.30pm.
