The gite is attached to the owner's property but has a separate entrance from the main house. The property has a 75sq mtr. spacious open-plan living area downstairs, encompassing a modern fitted kitchen, a dining area and a lounge.
Outside there is a large terrace and 50m2 decked area. The pool is 5.5mts x 12mts and has max depth of 2mts
For 2017 we are in the process of creating another garden area with seating around a firepit and BBQ/Pizza oven hut.

Hi we are The Pattisons, Brits living in South-West France since mid 2009. We moved to the area from the UK to get out of the rat race in July 2009. We have 2 children schooled in France, a menagerie of pets, including dogs, cats, vietnamese pot-bellied pigs, chickens and ducks.
We love the tranquillity and peacefulness of the area and this is the perfect destination if you want the get away from it all factor. We are not so remote that we are cut off by any means, there are fabulous restaurants anywhere from a 5 minute to a 30 minute drive away, and several market towns offering a variety of shopping.

Our passions are the sea and skiing, we moved and located our home and our family within an area where we can enjoy both. We are approximately a 1 hour drive from the foothills of the Pyrenees, so skiing is a possibility from the property during winter months, or indeed hiking and mountain walking, white water rafting etc. We are less than an hour and a half away from the coastline and regularly spend weekends at Cap Breton, Hossegor, Biarritz, Vieux Bocau and for special weekends, pop over the border and enjoy the sights, sounds and tapas of St Sebastien.
We have had a fantastic hoilday. The Barn is superb, spacious and furnished to a high spec with all we could need.
The pool gardens, bar and animals all added to our great enjoyment.
We swan, played tennis and golf, saw bullfights, went horse riding, visited Lourdes, Biarritz & St Sebastien.
Most of all we have to thank Ian, Mel, Charlotte & Jack for making us feel so very welcome. The children became such good friends and it felt more like we were at home rather than just guests. Nothing was too much trouble or Mel & Ian and they made a big contribution to our enjoyment.
Quite simply, Ian and Mel provide so much more than just a place to stay and relax. Their lovely setting, in a peaceful and rural part of the South West of France (within an easy drive from Bordeaux airport), feels like you are a million miles from the hustle and bustle of normal everyday life, yet provides enough entertainment and attractions, to keep even the most hyperactive child amused!
The converted barn has been tastefully renovated, with a high standard open plan kitchen. I particularly liked the ice making machine - a necessity for the scorching summer days. There is also use of a large larder freezer in an outbuilding, if, like us, you have bought in a load of pizzas and ice cream that you need frozen.
Bedrooms are of adequate space and there is a nice shower room/toilet on the 1st floor.
The large open plan living area has comfortable seating for a large number of guests, together with UK TV for those missing their creature comforts.
What adds to the features of this property however, is the open and generous nature of the hosts, Ian, Mel, and their two children, who go out of their way to make you feel right at home. They provide access to their own outdoor bar/dining area, together with use of the BBQ facilities (a bonus for late evening summer feasts or an ice cold beer!).
This property is highly recommended for families who will be kept constantly amused. Ian and Mel have numerous farmyard animals and pets, which our kids just absolutely adored. A basketball hoop, huge trampoline, a fantastic, clean and warm pool, pool table - are just some of the things to keep everyone amused, kids and parents alike.
I was unsure of renting accommodation with the owners right on site, but Ian and Mel, Jack and Charlotte, very quickly made us feel right at home and added to our enjoyment and relaxation by becoming friends, not just property owners. Always there to provide advice of the local area and share a beer or glass of wine with!
So, I can't recommend this property enough. Book now to avoid disappointment, but just not at the same time we plan on returning next year!!
Just a great place. The gite is tastefully decorated and the pool and bar area are fantastic. There's some excellent restaurants in the local area and San Sebastian is only a couple of hours away too. Mel and Ian are great hosts. We will be back!
Fantastic property fully equipped and all the mod cons.owners were friendly and very accommodating couldn't help enough with advice or a glass of wine!

The village has an epicerie which stock a range of local produce, fresh breads etc. Eugenie-les-Bain houses 2 fabulous Michel Guerard restaurants Pres D'Eugenie and Ferme aux Grives. Eugenie also has a private and a public thermal spa's. Grenade-sur-Adour and Aire-sur-Adour are both approx 15-20mins by car and have supermarkets, restaurants, banks at both towns.

Bookings can be made by telephone or email. 25% to be paid at time of booking (non-refundable). 75% to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival date, plus a security of £500, for any damage to the property or swimming pool. This deposit will be returned within 7 days after your departure following an inventory check.
Guests are requested to vacate the property by 11.00 a.m. on date of departure.
