Overlooking the recreation park, the accommodation is over 2 storeys, with open plan kitchen, dining and living room accommodation. The apartment has a contemporary feel throughout and an excellent base for a lake district holiday.

We are a family of four, who all love walking and exploring. We love coming to Fellview and the Lake District in all seasons.

Why Lynne Gilhome chose South Lakeland District
We visited the Lakes for many years pre-children and fell in love with the area. After searching for the ideal property for us we found Fellview. Our children love going and exploring the fells. We often take our parents or friends with us and the accommodation is perfect for that especially having en-suite bathrooms! We find Ambleside a fantastic place, friendly, great restaurants, pubs, lots for children of all ages to do and all from the doorstep. We love to visit and loathe to leave!
What makes this Apartment unique
We find the convenience of Fellview fantastic, within 200m. we have a Bakers, Newsagents, park with childrens area, Chinese, Italian, Thai and Indian Restaurants, several pubs, Cinema, Shops galore, Fish and Chip shops, Pizza takeaway, Tesco, Co-op, Spar. We love the locality and the views. It is great that we do not have to drive after we arrive but all of the Lake distict is easily accessible from Fellview.
Brilliant apartment, so centrally located, spotlessly clean and had everything we required. Plenty of space and we were 6 adults and 1 baby. A real home from home feel to it. Couldn't have been better. Thank you!! :)

Good location,spacious enough for our family 5. Plenty good restaurants in the town,plenty walks around no need for a car. Parking not to far away. Overall a very good property.

Fellview is very central with many restaurants, cafes, parks, cinema and other local amenities within a few hundred meters.

Despite being on the edge of the town Fell View is in the perfect place with pretty views to distract you from the nearby shops. All manner of parks, lakes, shops and other attractions are within walking distance and the house itself is very comfortable. I'd definitely go back to stay for a holiday (our group was using the house as a base for a conference) and would recommend it to anyone.
Nice, clean and spacious
The bedrooms are big with an ensuite in every room. Decent kitchen. Overall a nice property that exceeded our expectations. There is free parking which is great however the directions are quite confusing!

Bright, central apartment
We stayed for a week and found it clean, comfortable and a few minutes' walk from local shops. The kitchen is well stocked, there are books and games for kids and adults, and a park/children's playground over the road. 2 parking permits are included - parking for more than 2 cars takes a bit of thought but can be done. It's a nice, convenient base for exploring Ambleside.

Fellview is an ideal base for walking, with walks available from the doorstep.
Windermere lake is a short walk away where sailing, and other water sports are available.
Nearest beach is St. Bees 23 miles
Nearest train station is Windermere 8 miles away, there is a very extensive bus route from both Windermere and Ambleside to all lake land locations.
Central Ambleside, Grasmere 4 miles, Bowness-on-Windermere 6 miles, Coniston 7.5 miles.
Windermere lake less than 1 mile, where you can hire boats or take a cruise.
Grizedale Forest and Go ape - 8 miles, Whinlatter forest 16 miles.
There are many good restaurants to suit all tastes within walking distance, the local Tesco, Spar and Co-op shops have extended opening. Lots of climbing and walking shops. Chinese, Indian, Thai, Pizza and Fish & Chips, takeaways are in walking distance. Windermere lake is a short walk away where sailing, and other water sports are available. The White Platts recreation ground is overlooked by Fellview and provides a small chip and putt, crazy golf, tennis and bowling. Rothay Park is also across the road and provides an excellent children s play area, full size football pitch and picnic areas.

Booking Notes: A £100 deposit is required when booking. The balance is to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. We do recommend that you take out adequate Holiday Insurance. Changeover Day: Changeover day is a Friday. Visitors can arrive any time after 15.00 hrs and departure is by 10.00 hrs. Short (minimum 3 night) booking may be available on request, but not in school holidays. Notes on prices: The cottage can be rented either for the week, for a long weekend (Fri to Mon) or a bargain mid-week break 4 nights (Mon to Fri). Minimum 3 nights. Prices for short breaks are 60% of the weekly rate plus £65 to cover cleaning, linen etc. Extra days can also be booked if available. Prices include linen, all fuel & cleaning. Prices in pounds sterling.
