About Liz Hollingworth

We live in West Yorkshire and love Bakewell and our plan is to eventually retire to the area. In the meantime we wanted a holiday cottage we could enjoy as we like to walk and also like cycling. We also enjoy all the facilities that Bakewell has to offer which are within a few minutes walk of Peveril cottage.

Liz Hollingworth purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Liz Hollingworth chose Derbyshire Dales

We spent quite a few months looking for a holiday home and knew Bakewell was ideal. We love the countryside and the town centre has some lovely cafes and restaurants. We are enjoying the many walks in the area and love visiting the surrounding villages.

We loved the cottage the minute we saw it and have enjoyed decorating and furnishing it.

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage is very central to the town centre and yet very quiet. It is set back from the road and in a lovely position. It has off road parking which is opposite the front door.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Great holiday thanks. The cottage was clean, cosy and perfectly located. Even the weather has been kind to us!

We have had a lovely week. The cottage is vey comfortable within walking distance of shops, eating places etc. We have walked every day.

Lovely comfortable cottage. We felt very much at home here. We've been to Bakewell many times and have stayed in various cottages, but this one ticks all the boxes. The weather was fantastic the first few days. Rained at the end of the week but we were happy staying in the cottage. Would like to come back again.

Everything works!

Surprised by the title of review? If you have used self catering cottages before you'll know what I mean! The cottage is spotless, the shower works as does everything else. On site parking, what a bonus. Couple of minutes walk into Bakewell on the level. A real gem. Will use again as have many other people going by the visitors book.

Home away from home

The moment we walked through the door we felt at home at this lovely cottage. It is in a quiet area yet on walking distance from the centre of Bakewell. The cottage is very clean and everything you need is there. We can also recommend it for people whitouth a car. There are may busses that stop in Bakewell and the area is beautifull.

Would definately go back.
