beautiful setting

Beautiful house, wonderful surroundings. Plenty of peace and quiet. I could have sat all day on the patio overlooking the wilderness of wildflowers and grasses watching the dragonflies flitting around.

The town of Oughtarard is only a 20 minute walk away with plenty of amenities including to wonderful butchers shops, plenty of pubs selling good beer and good food.

We found Frank and Mary very amenable and helpful. Can thoroughly recommend Bog Bay House

Lovely week

  • 5 of 5

We went for a family holiday and to attend a family wedding in June. The house was beautiful in a great location with loads of space. The local village is great, the butchers was amazing and the local pub was a favourite to call in for lunchtime cakes and also dinner. We also walked up to the local jetty and did the boat trip which I would also recommend.

The house had everything we needed and sitting outside to have dinner was lovely due to the location. There are some great places to visit locally so an ideal place to stay for sightseeing, would go back again.
