Why Sarah Tillotson chose Penrith

We went to look at the land in January 2011 and didn't know what to expect but we just fell in love with it. The lodge was completed in autumn 2011 and we spent Christmas and new year there with our children, parents and other family members staying in near by lodges it was wonderful. It is the perfect location for some quiet and peaceful time. You are only 4 miles from Greystoke village with a lovely pub and local shop and only 10 mins drive from centre of Penrith and 20-25 mins away from Keswick giving you the perfect location for your perfect holiday.

Whilst staying at Pond View Lodge you can enjoy various activity's such as walking through Greystoke forest or cycling enjoying the wonderful scenery. The lodge is only 4 miles from the nearest village with a lovely village pub and shop/post office. Penrith is 10 minutes and Keswick only 20-25 minutes away by car. You will find all what you would require for the perfect holiday in these towns including leisure facilities which in Keswick the swimming baths has a great slide for you and the kids. Wonderful Weekend in the perfect place.

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful place to enjoy peace and tranquility, very important for my family and I this week. The lodge is perfect, very comfortable and extremely well-equipped. It has a lovely feel about it... very relaxing day and night. Set right by the pond, it was beautiful to look out on....even saw the famous red squirrels running around several times each day. I would love to be here during the warmer months when I can enjoy sitting out on the deck with a meal or chilling with a good book!

The facilities here are outstanding and I will definitely be booking to stay here again in the future. Thank you so much.

Christmas shopping trip

  • 5 of 5

My second stay at this lodge in Two months, great place to stay and visit Cumbria, so peaceful and relaxing.

There is everything in the lodge to make your stay a Home from Home feeling.

The Lodge is within a short drive to Penrith, a nice village to pick up some Christmas bits.

The lodge heats up quick on cold nights, and the heating is regulated in each room for your own comfort.

It was great to see the Red squirrels rushing about, and the bird life enjoying the Pond.

Future recommendations is possibility of Wifi connection as phone reception is hit and miss.

Will look forward to booking this lodge again soon, great place to un/wind and relax.

Regards Bryan and Marie.

Stayed at the Lodge for 3 days supporting a gentleman 1-1.. The Lodge has everything you need, very much a home from home feel about the place.. Nice and private and secluded. Owners have the Lodge kept at a high standard with good fixtures and fittings, the washing machine and dishwasher were a godsend.. Will book again very soon.

A lovely 3 night's break

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time despite the fact that the weather wasn't good. The lodge is superb with everything you could wish for provided. It turned chilly at night but once I found the controls the lodge heated up quickly.

It's a great place to relax and recharge your batteries and we enjoyed good lunches at The Sun at Red Dial and the Stonebridge near Penrith.

I would book again.

Lovely property with everything you would need for your stay.

Really lovely and homely property. Very spacious and modern. We chose this property for disabled access and was very easy to move around inside. Private parking space was also very useful.

Got to see a couple of red squirrels and had rabbits eating grass on front lawn. Lots to do in surrounding areas, pictures don't do the area justice.
