Ideally positioned, this neo-breton villa enjoys delightful countryside views across the Tarun Valley, 3kms from the market town of Baud. The house is both spacious and comfortable offering accommodation for up to ten people. It is set within one acre with guests having private access to the pool area and a large lawned games area set up with a volleyball court and table tennis. The terrace balcony along the front of the house offers a wonderful place to sit and relax with a glass of wine and a good book. There is also a patio area to the rear of the property which offers the ideal opportunity for dining 'alfresco' and a BBQ is available for outside cooking. The situation and facilities mean that guests have the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

About Louise

My husband and I have owned our property in Kerbourbon since 2006. We both have very busy lives in England running our own business. After holidaying in Kerbourbon, we both recognised Southern Brittany as somewhere we could immediately relax and unwind, leaving the stresses of work behind.Having a property with a pool is ideal for us, in that it allows us to be self contained if we just want to be quiet and relax in our own company. However, it's brilliant location also means that we are able to access enough activities, places and interest, and beautiful beaches to satisfy our young daughter's need to be active! A perfect balance giving the best of both worlds.

It has a large bath that is perfect for soaking in, and wash basin and toilet facilities. On the 1st floor there is a family bathroom with 3/4 bath, walk in shower, wash basin and toilet. There is a separate ground floor toilet.

Notes on bedrooms: Bedroom 1 on the ground floor is a spacious, light and airy room. There is a double bed, sliding wardrobes with masses of space and an ensuite bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and wash basin. An additional Jaybe bed can be accommodated in this room for a younger person. Bedroom 2 on the first floor has one double bed, wardrobe and drawers. An additional Jaybe bed can be accommodated in this room for a younger person. Bedroom 3 on the first floor has one double bed and one single bed, a wardrobe, dressing table and drawers. Notes on accommodation: Please note that this is a split level property with the ground floor of the main house being on a level with the pool and lawned games area. There is a service apartment at the lower level which is occupied by the owner during the summer. The pool is reserved solely for the use of the guests, as is the lawned games area situated beyond the pool. The driveway and parking area is shared. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: The property is self catering. Bed linen is provided, guests must provide their own towels.

Comfortable, quiet and very relaxing

This house is in a tiny hamlet and overlooks a lovely wooded valley. It sits on a small hillside and is off a road that is quiet.This is a very green and beautiful part of Brittany.

The house is incredibly clean and is well equipped. We all slept well in the beds. There are genius fine mesh window coverings that allow windows to be open and fresh air to enter but keeping insects out.

The pool is great - well fenced and gated off for safety and nicely private. The water was warm enough to swim in every day - not spa warm but warm enough. The children adored the pool as well as the garden with a net for volleyball or badminton and an all weather table tennis table. Bats and racquets are in a box in the hall.

The living room is comfortable and the children enjoyed watching some British TV. The nearby town of Baud has two supermarkets that are easy to find and very well stocked.

There is plenty to do - the coast is within half an hour, we hired bicycles, we went for walks, visited Vannes and had a fine mix of exploring and chilling out.

Louise, the owner, stays in the basement of the house and is so discreet we hardly realised she was there. Louise got up early to maintain the pool and we were thankful she was there to ask for help when we had a flat tire.

It was a really lovely holiday staying in Kerbourbon and can recommend it

The market town of Baud is approx. 4km from the house. The town has all amenities including bars, restaurants, supermarkets, post office, chemists, etc. A weekly market is held on a Saturday morning.

The village of Camors is approx. 2.7km from the house. Here you will find a small convenience store/patisserie/bakery, butchers, chemist and some small bars and restaurants.

Further Details:

The situation and facilities at the house mean that guests have the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

However, for those looking for a more active holiday, the local forests provide an opportunity for walking and cycling, whilst there is fishing available nearby.

For those hoping to experience some of the history, traditions and culture of Brittany, there is a wealth of places to visit from the medieval towns of Josselin, Vannes, and Hennebont, to the ancient standing stones at Carnac; from the picturesque Pont Aven with its art connections to the historic Submarine base at Lorient.

It is certain that there will be something to capture the interest of all.

Changeover Day: The changeover day for the property is a Friday. Departing guests must vacate the property by 10am.
Arriving guests may take possession of the property after 5pm.

Towels are available to rent at a charge of £9 per bale which include one beach towel, one bath towel and one hand towel.

The end of stay cleaning charge is optional however, guests choosing not to pay for a clean must leave the villa in the state of cleanliness that it was given to them.

Rates listed are a flat rate for up to ten persons. Any additional guests will be charged at a rate of £100 per week. Maximum occupancy of the house is fourteen guests.

Please note that additional put-me-up beds/sofa beds are suitable for children/young persons only.

Full payment terms will be available on booking.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
